I think I'll do pretty well on my upcoming exams, if I can use the following couple of weeks wisely. I'm not really worried about it, though of course, it is on my mind for most of the time.

Oh, and the exams are about math (differential equations), meteorology (small scale and micro-) and physical oceanography (ocean currents and etc.).

Oh, and funny thing is, I'm actually starting to enjoy the math, but then again... that's not a bad thing.

I dropped my cellphone into a ditch right next to a storm drain once when I was drunk. Found it again the next day, and once it dried up, it worked just fine. I have never lost anything otherwise, as I am always very careful about all my belongings.

My hair is long, below shoulder length (I'm a guy), and lately I have been to lazy to comb at all. I just run my fingers through it instead. That is the best way to get rid of knots anyway. My hair looks pretty good, though, considering how I don't do anything special to it.

I had just turned 17 (about a month earlier) when I joined the original Acmlm's, and my first post looked like this:

A level called the top secret area appears on the ladder down from #4 Ludwig's Castle. I wan't it remnoved!! Mario can't walk past it, and when I enter it it's just an everlasting bonus level.


[First post here.] Notice how I posted it at the end of someone elses thread, aswell.

Pretty dumb post. Shows how little I knew about hacking, and about trying things out (such as exploring the program, Lunar Magic) before asking silly questions.

And back then, I sometimes made myself look dumber than I was, such as the typo in 'remnoved' and the two exclamation marks. I suppose it was/is some kind of inferiority complex. I don't know why, but I would often not show what I knew, but instead pretend I didn't know things, only to ask about them.

Hmm.. it probably stems from not really having any kind of self-confidence. I see that now...

Well, this place isn't hot. It's 10 - 15 degrees celsius, or something. Not sure of the excact temperature, as the thermometer is now in direct sunlight, so it says it's 39. That's obviously wrong.

CNN says it's 12.

It's 8,6 º celsius and raining. Northern Norwegian summer. Weather has been mostly cloudy with some sun or rain all month, but no high temperatures due to cold winds from the northwest.

By the way... fahrenheit is stupid.

Elementary had no cafeteria food, everyone had to bring their own lunch, which is a common practice in most places in Norway.

Junior high had a cafeteria only on certain weekdays, twice or once a week or something. I can't remember, and I never used it anyway. You had to pay for the food, as free caferia food is not common practice in Norway.

Senior high had a cafeteria that was open daily, I used it a few times a week (also here you had to pay), other times I brought my own food. The food here wasn't any good, really. Soggy baguettes with ham and cheese was their best offer.

At university, the food is much better, and there's several cafeterias to choose from, but the food is also a bit more expensive. Still, it's not top notch, and often runs out, especially late in the day. They also serve dinner, but I've never used that offer, as the portions seem to small for me. I eat my dinner at home, it's cheaper, and I can make the portion as big as I want to.

I have no problem with flying, as long as there is no turbulence. That would probably scare me quite a bit. I've never been into any serious turbulence, though. I have only done domestic flights (in Norway), so I wouldn't know if you experience turbulence more often when flying abroad (longer distances = increased risk of something happening?)

As a person living in an area that might experience a tropical hurricane sometime in the not so distant future... what is your perspective on this whole thing?

Are you worried, or is it so that you couldn't care less.... ?

I can't help but to feel somewhat bad for the people of Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Many of them are quite poor, and then they get this shit.

I don't know... this whole thing with hurricanes is also very fascinating to me. So dangerous, and so fucking powerful!

Yet I have never had the pleasure and discomfort of witnessing a real one myself.

And I always get more excited when they do, or are forecast to do, an easterly turn like this. If it were up to me, they'd all do that.. not even make landfall anywhere in the US, just strenghten, and then curve straight to the east!! (Which means they'll be able to keep their strength/survive longer up here over these cold waters...)

Oh, maybe I'm just a little crazy...

For the past year and a half, the number of nightmares I get has increased by a large amount. Years used to pass between each nightmare, but now there's several a month. And sometimes I do, for a short while after waking up, wonder if I was just dreaming or not. But I think the amount and intensity is decreasing now again.

Just a few nights ago, I dreamt that the wall to the right of my bed was gone, and this old ghost fellow was standing to the right of my bed, pointing at me while saying something. For some reason, that was very uncomfortable, and I was squirming in my bed, unable to get out, while screaming for him to shut up and leave me alone.

I should read these forums more. Didn't notice this thread until now.

At the time being, it looks like Ike might go for Texas, somewhere near Galveston/Houston, after going over Cuba, which looks like a given. But it might still also end up somewhere near the Florida/Alabama border.

Well, these things aren't easy to predict, that shouldn't be anything new, but as it looks now, I'm willing to take a small bet on somewhere near the Texas/Lousiana border. Maybe. (...yeah, this post didn't really go anywhere. )

Hmm, yeah. There aren't any road numbers that go up that high in Norway, but I think I saw a license plate that had the number 1337 on it. Well, that, or I'm just making it up to have something to post. Well, I do know that I've seen several license plates with an 'XD' on them..

Though, potentially you *could* find a road with the number 666, but I somehow doubt it.
