I'm an English major, so I always have homework due in the form of essays and lit presentations. It's not so bad, I've gotten used to it, but my workload now is considerably heavier than it ever was in high school.

I was at home getting ready for school.

I watched some news, it was scary cuz I have family in NYC, but eh. It wasn't that big of a deal for me at the time, I was young and I don't think I really comprehended it all. I was such a sheltered, innocent youth~

Southern California (especially Orange County where I live) has a pathetic, almost non-existent public transportation system. This area was built around the idea that it would be a rich person's domain, so everyone would have a car. We have a public bus system, but it can't get me anywhere that I need to go in a reasonable amount of time. There is no subway, you can't get a taxi unless you call for one hours in advance, and everything is too spread out suburbia-style for walking or biking to be realistic.

In short, I fork over the ridiculous amount of money for a car, because I have no other choice. And because EVERYONE has to have a personal car, traffic is a fucking nightmare no matter what time of day you're on the road.

I don't really have any. In high school, I was definitely addicted to the internet and to caffeine, but I can go without both now and it's not a problem.

The only thing I can think of that I really can't go without is music. If I'm at home, it's always playing in my room. If I'm at school, my ipod is always on. If I'm at work, I have the radio on. I fucking hate silence. ...But I don't know if that's an addiction or just a preference.

If I have to get up for school or work, I don't really have a choice in the matter. I drag myself out of bed and take a shower, which usually helps me wake up. But I'm pretty groggy for most of the morning no matter what. I have a hard time going to bed before midnight-1am regardless of when I have to get up (even if it's 6am for school), so sleepiness is expected.

I do have to put my alarm clock across the room so that I have to get up and turn a light on in order to turn off the obnoxious beeping. Otherwise I'll take 9 minute snooze sessions forever.

I go a few times a month if there are lots of movies I want to see, and maybe just once a month otherwise. I'm a big movie person, as are my friends. We love all going together. And I get tickets through AAA for $6.50 each, so it makes the price much more bearable. I don't buy anything at the concession stand either, I can't justify $10 for a soda and popcorn.

I like to sit in the first row of the back section, where the hand rails are. I get to put my feet up that way.

Worst year was probably 2004. I still lived with my dad and was miserable because of it, plus I came out to my friends and lost a lot of them in the process. Guess they weren't that good to begin with, eh? Luckily I made new ones later.

Best year was 2008. I had a great time in my college classes, had great experiences with my best friends, no real drama in my life.

This happened to my old stereo system I had hooked up to my laptop. My old laptop's speakers were absolute shit, so I got a sound system to play music on. It got used every day for probably 5 years... and finally died. Some songs I could only hear vocals, others I could only hear some of the background sounds, and sometimes it jumped around. It was awful. But my girlfriend had an extra stereo system lying around which is remarkably better, so now I have the power to make my bedroom walls shake from the bass.
