Zune theme - it's just an orange and finished version of Noir. Also one of the only other official MS themes.

I used to use it, but the oversized taskbar and titlebar drive me crazy (and it doesn't look as good with smaller sizes). This is what I use now.

Also, win for the screenshot which references itself. (I think I actually did that before a few times when I was able to.)

What are you eating right now? I thought it'd be interesting to see.

Greatest. Cereal. Ever.

Also, Frosted Flakes.

Never seen them, but I guess that's because I don't live in America.

We have Frosted Flakes here I think... or maybe I'm confusing them with something else.

I went back and reinstalled a different copy of XP (one that sucks less, really).

Great news! Turns out that since I've had all of one hour to get it installed, requiring me to reboot back into Windows 2000 until I can get it upgraded and ready for them to use... turns out Windows 2000's chkdsk on reboot corrupted the hard drive!

So now I can't use that copy of XP any more to start the recovery console and try to fix those problems, and on top of it all? The recovery console doesn't even seem to exist in this disc.

This is about 9 hours of work so far I've had to utterly throw out because DERP

... I don't even understand how it's possible for Win2000 to have corrupted the HD. But I'm not going to underestimate Microsoft's capabilities to fuck stuff up.

Unless I'm missing something, why not use the recovery console from a standard XP CD if yours doesn't have it? It seems like it should work fine. Never mind, reread your quote and noticed that it doesn't work with the installed XP anyway.

I remember once having reformatted and reinstalled XP and getting a nasty Vundo infection almost immediately after. I had to reformat again to get rid of it, so you're not alone in the painful installation camp.

Taskbar Shuffle - already mentioned but I figured it was worth mentioning again. I used to use TaskbarEx, but I decided to see if Taskbar Shuffle was better. It works a lot better, doesn't randomly hide taskbar buttons and has smoother dragging.

Filebox Extender - extremely useful tool. It makes all file open/save boxes resizable and adds a button to the titlebar that lets you choose from your favourite folders. (Vista has this as an editable sidebar I believe, but XP has a limited selection of 5, so this tool is pretty useful.)

Y'z Shadow - Not really that useful, but if you like eyecandy like me... I get transparent menus and window shadows with it (along with XP styles) and it doesn't slow down stuff like WindowBlinds and similar programs do.

Can't really think of anything else but I'll be sure to post it if I do.

That's what this is (just pre-cracked). The only problems I've had so far are because of the dual-booting 2000 on the other partition (that they had first)...

I have a volume licenced version of XP which doesn't have WGA; it's pretty useful.

The story about how I got it is kind of amusing - Back in March 2006 I bought a new computer. It came with a folder in the C drive which contained the files for loads of things; many apps (including cracks/keygens - some with included trojans according to Avast) and folders containing all the files for Office 2003 and Windows XP SP2.

I figured out pretty easily that I could use it myself (I used nLite with no modifications to create a bootable version).

... what the fuck I just checked the folder

There's a folder named "Dialup pass" among all the other crap, I went into it out of curiosity.

So what's inside?
dialupass.exe, Form1.frm, Project1.vbp, readme.txt

According to the readme the program is one of Nir Soft's tools, but I opened the VB form to see what it was.

Some interesting stuff in here.

DialogTitle = "Pitiful... just pitiful"
Filter = "*.txt|*.txt|*.dic|*.dic|*.yourmomsaho|*.yourmomsaho"

If txtYear.Text < "1899" Then
MsgBox "this only calculates from 1899-present.", vbInformation
MsgBox "pitiful, i know."
GoTo YOOSUK
End If
On Error GoTo YOOSUK

There's other code in it but that was the most humourous IMO. Apparently it's a "date generator"... the use of it isn't really obvious.

While I don't really like the second one that much (as everyone has mentioned) the other two are really good. Some of the pictures on your DA gallery are really amazing as well. Keep up the good work!

I love chocolate. I don't eat it all the time for obvious reasons, but I do eat it a lot.

Your layout is a lot more readable now; thanks for changing it. (I'm not sure if I was the only one who had a problem with it, but it seems like it would have been unreadable for pretty much everyone.)

Anyway, on-topic: I just finished eating some spaghetti. Kind of boring, I know, but I like it.

I have post reports in a separate window in mIRC, so usually I end up spotting posts on the board before I see them in IRC. (Yes, I know it completely defeats the point... I don't really care, although sometimes I do remember to look at the bots window and see if there's anything new.)

Been trying to post a bit more today since I feel bad for not posting. (Well, I have 14 posts already today... that's pretty good considering the board lists me as having 0.46 average posts per day.)

To be honest considering the 3D maps and such (plus the fact you'd probably need to find out a lot of data to create a good RPG hack - maps, enemy data, scripts, NPCs, etc) I think you'd be better off going with something else.

Of course, if you really want to (and you have the skills to do it) then go ahead, but it won't be easy.

Exactly.

I've never used a film camera. I got a digital camera for my birthday in 2006 and have loved them since.

I can't even imagine what it would be like not being able to see what my photos will look like instantly; not being able to zoom; not being able to delete crappy pictures, and being restricted to 30 or so pictures.

I noticed it earlier too. Pretty cool.

Of course I'll probably totally miss it. And a while after I'll be like "... oh great it already passed and I didn't try to get it?!"
