Did some quick fact-checking. So says the title screen, Uniracers is a trademark of Nintendo, making it their intellectual property. Rockstar acted as a second party in this case.

Along those same lines, it appears that Tetrisphere is also owned by Nintendo.

I took a quick stroll down update lane and took a quick notice when I stumbled on one of the entries. I'm 98% certain this has been mentioned before, but consider the following...

Various odd-ball Assist Trophies, such as Devil, Excite Bike and Stafy all use the generic Smash Bros. emblem as their icons.
Samurai Goroh, on the other hand, uses an icon that supposedly shouldn't be there. Old news, I know.


Now, we're all very certain Captain Falcon will be making his return. But what of these?


Yes, there happen to be Animal Crossing and Nintendo DS stages, but... aren't the emblems used for characters, not stages?

I inadvertantly found a way to get the Buoy Base music without all the watery sound effects in it. Still some at the very beginning, so I clipped those out with a fade-in. The bulk of the tune is intact, however.

As usual, it's on my personal server, so please don't bog things down too much.

If this is bad, then what exactly are you looking for? A game mode that spits raw cash out of the Wii console itself? Appreciate the fact that this update is available in the first place, as it's rare to have a website like that one. A year ago, we didn't even know what a Final Smash was, so this would have been the best thing since sliced bread.

The whole fun of something like this is to make sure you never, EVER think of Solid Snake the same way again. Like this picture! Now we know Snake's pants ride up on him. Can't be comfortable. But at least it's a show for the ladies.

Now you are doomed to thinking about this for the rest of eternity every time you see him.

Before I even submitted that post, I anticipated someone would say this. I wasn't expecting it so quickly, though. You have successfully flagged yourself as a predictable buffoon.

The real reason I noticed is because I'm freakishly observant. I notice everything, despite how psychologically damaging it may be. For example, the other day I was wondering why Kirby was Final Cuttering to the right, where there are no enemies and the boat is sinking.

Just so you know, that platform Pit is about to land on... there's no polygon on the back. Action Replay on the GameCube let me pan all the way around, and there simply is no polygon there. I mean, sure, no one's ever going to see it, but... what kind of performance impact is one polygon gonna have?

Depends on how it works. I've thought about it myself in the past while trying to fall asleep, but in regards to video game review copies that are released to reviewers before the game's due date and end up pirated before they ever hit store shelves... Not that I played F-Zero Climax before its Japanese release date or anything...

But I digress. You can move audio data up and down in extremely low frequencies and the audio will sound as normal as ever. But it would look different if you loaded it into an audio editor. Not a likely solution, but a possible route of opportunity.

Either way, I'm actually okay with the idea of watermarking. If people use the music they buy in legal ways, there's no chance at all they'll get in trouble for it. Copy from a CD to your computer? Good. Put it on your portable music player? Go for it. Distribute it to thousands of online friends? Not legal.

At this point, I'm hopeful. DRM attempted to prevent people from breaking the law in the first place. Good intentions, bad method. Watermarking, on the other hand, is a way to track down someone who already has broken the law.

But before I officially endorse it, I'll need to see if any suggestions pop up in the news about why watermarking would actually be a bad idea.

I think there are also considerations to encode each CD differently so that every watermark basically identifies a track with a unique serial number. If vendors were to take your name when they sold you the disc, any recordings and redistributions will tie back directly to you.
