I went to Circuit City during one of its liquidation sales, and was less than impressed, frankly. The prices for the things they wanted went from "exhorbiant" to "still higher than Newegg but reasonable I guess." To top it off, they had wheeled out various items from the back--did they really think people would want stained chairs from the break room and beat-up file cabinets?
I got some shitty CDs for $2 each, though.

I've heard of ridiculous shit like $35 for a simple USB cable. Pretty much everything I've heard from people that went there was that the prices were still well over what you could get elsewhere, even with their "huge" discounts.
And, eh. Never know. Better to try to make a buck off of it rather than just trashing, I guess.
Well, what's so bizarre is that because they were being liquidated rather than outright going under, they could only sell stuff for so cheap before destroying it would have been better as a tax write-off. They essentially were crushing big-screen TVs in the back, according to a friend who worked there (and also vandalized the "Firedog" sign to just say "Fired")
I say they should have just let people pay $5 to smash the TVs with a bat or something. Hell, they'd probably recoup most of the loss that way. |

I love pizza, mostly because it's such a blank palette to make any sort of dish with. I love apple and gorgonzola, chicken korma, margherita...
and the local abomination that is "stoner pie" (mozzarella sticks, chicken, french fries, bacon, extra cheese.) I can only stomach it once in a blue moon, but it's a guilty pleasure. |

It would be in your best interest to make sure you are not hungry before watching this video. Commentary is very good though. Thanks Retsupurae!
I'm sure it says something about me--not sure if it's good or bad--that I was more upset that he finished up that act of gluttony by drinking fucking Smirnoff Ice. |

I celebrated 4/20 by going to a conference on orgasms, and when waiting to get in, having to stand next to a guy who clearly reeked of weed! |

I would think placing a penis on the Bible would be quite disrepsectful.
That being said, though

I don't necessarily mind people who are humming or singing, but oh god.
People who sing along to the piped music in the grocery store or any other public place.

Can I burn a bunch of Bibles for every time a Christian commits a crime against humanity?
Oh wait. I'd be burning shit every damn day. What an isolated group of individuals does is in no way representative of a billion followers of a religion. I'm a Jewish convert, but I actually seriously considered converting to a form of Sunni Islam because I see quite a bit that the two hold in common in practice and belief. The fact that myopic evangelicals (who often stretch the meaning of "Christian" in my eyes to a point where I don't think it's a valid label) can't see the great commonalities they have with nearly every religious believer in the world enrages me.
Then again, these are the same folks who are more concerned with the one time homosexuality is mentioned in Leviticus than the dozens of times shunning opulence and helping the poor is mentioned in the Gospels. They've never had their priorities in a truly Christian fashion. |
