I think it has different actions however.

what I don't get are the "joint-aim plater"... it just curls up and tries to move pathetically and crush you or whatever, instead of actually aiming to you... =/

If you can, put the speakers in his room.
Turn on the GC with ssbm (if not, then any game with an intro that involves an explosion and a loud title screen may work)
When the bob omb appears and it says it says "get ready" or something, do so and un-mute the tv.

This is, if you don't care about loud sounds...
