Finally installed homebrew on the wii here at my mom's house. It was mostly so I could use ocarina to unlock all the characters and stages on Brawl, since that's annoying to do and I wanted to Brawl people online. It was quite funny to see every unlock screen right after one another on load.

It's too bad games with online don't let you copy/move the save files.

For SNES (which is mostly what I play) I use this set up:

Arrow Keys = D-Pad
Start = Enter
Select = Right Shift
W = X
A = Y
S = B
D = A
Q = L
E = R

Still need a better layout for Super Metroid though... it really has horrible controller set up. D:

I'd like to get a Wii Classic Controller USB adaptor though. (I saw it on some Chinese manufacturing site, heh. No price listed. Nor was there an order form. Exactly how that site expected to sell anything I'll never know.)

Wow, and I've yet to even touch a 4th gen game. I wonder if this series will ever tire out...

They could probably just make more games with the pokemon they already have. I don't see what would be the problem with that.

Zoroark seems to be a direct correlation to Lucario. Both have one pre-evolution, both are apparently the poster-children of their generation. (I mean, it's an assumption since this is the first one they are showing.)

I've done some competitive battling in Gen 4, but granted that was in a simulator, so I didn't have to really work for it!

When it comes down to it, Pokemon is a game with a ton of strategy and is very fun competitively. The only problem with it is how hard it is to actually OBTAIN competitive pokemon. If they introduced a way to make training pokemon less painstaking there would be less hacking and more people would probably enjoy it overall.

As far as battle mechanics... I really think Gen 4 nailed everything. Perhaps they should nerf Stealth Rock a bit, though.

Edit: Schala: Dark/Ghost has no weaknesses! But obviously it would break the game if they gave any pokemon with this typing decent stats.

I've never really thought of Smash Bros. as a game suitable for competition. I've always considered it more of a party game to play with friends. Which is what makes it fun, of course.

Zero Mission and Fusion had awesome controls. My only complaint about Super Metroid is that it could have had better controls. At least it doesn't have lead weight Samus physics. Other than that, Super Metroid is sublime.
