I mean, getting both is worth it for their own reasons and both are still getting content, although Dungeon Defenders gets patches every week and Orcs Must Die has only two DLC so far, but both are totally worth their asking value, especially at these prices.
Well, they are both tower defense games where you have direct control of a hero unit that can shoot shit at the minions and have a progression system. Dungeon Defenders didn't have a demo and so I basically got sucked in by the pretty effects and bold feature list from the trailer and didn't get to experience the various shortcomings of the game.
I certainly don't regret the $20 purchase, just that after playing the 3 level demo of Orcs Must Die afterwards, I immediately realized Orcs Must Die is what I really wanted in an action TD that Sanctum, then Dungeon Defenders failed to deliver fully, imo of course.
Anyways, not sure if this game has been mentioned elsewhere, also this is not a deal per se, seeing as how it's a free game, but Nitronic Rush is basically an updated, Tron-inspired, slick version of San Francisco Rush 2049 Its a "Survival Racing Game" and it's pretty much freakin awesome really. I heard about it from TotalBiscuit and have been spinning my way to victory ever since. Check it out.
