I was wondering what had happened to board2 after I left due to it's turning into a second version of ||board, and quickly discovered that it was not a place worth returning to. A quick google-search later, and here I am.

Well, most importantly, I moved to the US this summer, and is now studying Communication (temporarily - planning on a major in Journalism) at the University of North Dakota.
Other than that, I'm pretty much still the same lazy fuck who never does anything remotely interesting I've always been. Yay.
Oh, and I'm posting at an internet message board at 3:30 AM. That's the sign of a real winner  |

That was me, yes, but it's been almost 2 years since I got out of that.
I got out early 2006, lived off welfare for half a year or so until I started attending the American College of Norway, a sub-branch of the University of North Dakota where Norwegian students can do a state-financed freshman year before moving to the US and continuing their education there (the Norwegian state does not provide financial support for Norwegians studying in the US unless they're sophomores or higher, so said school is a way around that. The downside, of course, is that they only offer 5 classes per semester). After completing my freshman year there, I travelled to the US as planned and continued my education there.
Dorito: No, but I modded the Story forum (back when I was one of the top posters on the board... damn, that's long ago) and General gaming from around... uh, 2001 or so, I think... up until the ||board takeover. Of course, that didn't mean I did a whole lot - not only were those two subfora rather free of crap that needed modding, but there were roughly 50 mods runnin around at the time, so the chances of someone getting to the stupid before I could see it was rather large
I had power, though. Yay. |

Yeah, they were fun. We had what, 5 or 6 different, neverending stories running at the same time, all set at different points in the same timeline, starring the same characters and constantly cross-referencing each other? Nowadays I can't even participate in a single RPG without losing interest after a few weeks
Said SF days (well - to a cetain extent) are actually in the process of being turned into an online comic strip as we speak, written, but not drawn by me, as I can't draw worth crap. Writing scripts for the strip is actually what made me drop by the board again to see how it was doing. |

I did mention this earlier, but yeah, I decided to continue that less-than-stellar sprite comic of mine as an actual drawn comic, presented in a more traditional comic book format. The plot is somewhat based on those age-old stories that took place over in the Story Forums a couple boards iterations ago, but presented in a much more coherent fashion. Now, I can't draw, so I'm just writing the script for the series, while a friend provides the art, and I think it turned out pretty well.
The hand-drawn comic picks up where the sprite comic ended, and it can be read by digging a bit into the archive.
The text, and particularly the speech bubbles, ended up looking somewhat crappy, I'll try a different method on the next page.
So, what do you people think?

Just beat that part (playing on Medium, there's a save spot right after those evil moving evil spikes of evil death that are evil. EVIL! They're about as hard and annoying and evil as they look. EVIL, I say! EVIL! And yes, just like the video guy, I had to pass that part twice because a gravestone fell on me (even AFTER I saw that part in the video grmf). The Ninja Gaiden birds push you, though. Frequently into spikes. They also pushed me off the left edge a coupel times, which I assume would be the cause of an extreme amount of curse words had I been playing on Hard, where said save point hadn't been there.

Made it to Dracula.. God, he's hard. And I hate that long cutscene you have to watch before each battle. Sure, the "cutscene that kills you" is funny the first time, but not the tenth time.
Oh, and here's a hint. "Defeat" Ryu and follow him, don't just avoid him and carry on. That leads to a warp that takes you back to the BEGINNING OF THE GAME! And yes, I saved once it was too late to return. 
Game is a lot easier the second time around, though.

Hm, I got a graphic glitch at Dracula, where the fires that surround the apples and moon doesn't load. Makes the easier to see, but eh...
Also, he's apparantly hard for me because I can't shoot fast enough to cause a lot of damage at once. Meh.
EDIT: Okay, Dracula's defeated. Uh, now what? Only place I can go is back to the warp that takes me to the beginning of the game AGAIN! |

Got to Bowser (or, well, his third form, which isn't really Bowser, but...)
The annoying part is that he's really not that hard, I just keep screwing up when I have to jump those blue bubble things. Argh. |

Beat Bowser, and managed to make my way back to those pre-Dracula rooms.
I figured that sticking to the left side of the screen during the final part of the boss battle helps a lot, since you'll be able to clear the bubble/bowling ball bwfore the boss drops fire on the other side of it. Took three balls before I killed him.
The moon after Tyson is simple enough. Just get rid of all the apples first, then jump to the platform that triggers the moon, quickly run away, back left, then on to the high platform so you can jump over the moon and return right. Hide in the little hole in the terrain where the moon originally landed, and it will loop over the screen and clear a path.
EDIT: The Tetris room can go fuck itself. |

Damn, Zangief is a mess. There are so many glitches in that battle I have no ide what you're even supposed to do. He seems to switch phases at random. Sometimes he doesn't even load. Sometimes he'll let you shoot him two times at the beginning of the battle, making him piledrive through the roof without you having to fight his first phase at all.
Sometimes he'll just bend down and let you shoot him a million times, while he fires Blankas under the floor. Eventually his face explodes, then he returns shortly after, spits fire at the platforms you started the battle at, then just stands there doing nothing.
If he piledrives through the roof, I guess you have to force him backwards or something, but sometimes he just goes into his Blanka-firing phase after a couple hits, being pretty much invincible, then just spits fire at you after a while.. Argh!
What are you supposed to do? |

I tried that, but that didn't give me a red ball, so he probably won't count as beaten.
And the shooting him crap doesn't make any sense - sometimes he goes straight to his Blanka-shooting after just a few shots, other times he takes several hundred and just keeps going. I tried forcing him to the right, but I just run out of platforms after a while, and he just keeps not dying.
Seriously, this guy is just completely fucked up and needs a massive bugfix. |

Okay, I think I got it. During his second phase, when you can push him backwards, just hitting him in the eyes does no damage, just keeps him away from you. Eventually, he'll yell and do some sort of attack (like spitting Hadoukens or lunging at you), avoid these, then shoot him while his mouth is open. This will damage him. Damage him enough, and he'll crush the blocks and start shooting Blankas.
Damage seems to carry over between phases, so it's hard to know how many hits it takes. Probably 10 or so, since you can't get in a whole lot of hits at once, having to get out of his way to avoid his attack and all.
EDIT: Okay, yeah, that's it. Once he goes into his non-glitch Blanka phase, just climb the Blankas up and shoot him in the face. After 5 Blankas, he'l yell a different yell, then shoot a giant fireball that covers most of the screen, so drop down to the floor when he does that, then climb back up and finish him off. Once his face explodes, he'll be dead - him returning after death is just a glitch that happens if you kill him in the glitch Blanka phase. If you do it the right way, you'll find the red ball in the small tunnel leading out.
EDIT2: Aaaand Mother Brain goes down. God damn, I hate that boss now. My hand is all cramped up. |

Final Tower of The Guy!
I assume the final boss is right around the corner but FUCK this place is hard.
The Ryu Hayabusa room and the room directly following it are awesomely funny.
Also, this room sucks cock. Don't click unless you want very late-game "spoilers". |

Got to The Guy, and as usual with bosses, they are piss hard on the keyboard because you can't fire rapidly enough.
Got to his fifth phase, though. Would've beaten him if I had a gamepad. |
