I've surprised you were able to find the Bryan Adams clip. I looked shortly after the episode, and it seemed like all the ones that were up were instantly taken down by either FOX or ADAMS INC. (copyright violations .. eh)

Either way, past Sunday's episode was my favorite. The best part for me was when Stewie started singing about the chords. Loved it.

(edit: and sure enough, after clicking on the video, it was removed due to a violation. Damn.)

"Everything I Do I Do It For You" was originally put into the 1991 'Robin Hood' film, and it still stands as one of my favorite songs (and movies). What is a true shame though, is that the video is now getting filled with people just saying "oh Stewie's version is better" "olol i came here cuz of fam gai lulz".

Back on topic though, the Christian Bale thing was one of the few 'dragged on' jokes that I actually enjoyed. Don't get me started on how lame those chicken fights are getting...

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
--------------------------------

After hearing a few specific people go on about how great this game is, I decided to "buy" it. I've played a bit of it, and I can see why people have been enjoying it. It reminds me somewhat of that one website (Fantastic Contraption?), except you're building goos up/left/right towards a pipe.

I've currently played up to "Tower of Goo", at which point I got stuck and quit for the night. Kind of irks me how the black goos can't be taken back once they are placed, but I guess that's part of the challenge, heh.

So yeah, I'm already finding it kind of tricky. Does it get extremely difficult in the long run, or does the curve of difficulty a fair one? I don't want to end up getting stuck within a couple levels.

(yes, I'm probably far behind the times with getting this game, but eh, sue me.)

These.

Basically, you're attaching goos in triangular-esque shapes to reach the 'pipe' in each level.

Been waiting for this movie for weeks. Going to see it tonight at 10:30, which will put my return time somewhere around 1:30 since it's holyjesuslong.

It's currently at an 8.5 on IMDB, so I'm expecting some great things from it.

Oops - forgot to respond with my opinion of the movie.

Without spoiling too much, it was definitely an awesome movie. I'll admit, some parts were rather dull, but all of the action and heavy plotline parts made up for this. The characters were well developed as well, which was nice to see. Of course, it is very long, so be prepared to sit for nearly three hours when you go in .. heh.

Oh, they must have extended the release date. Last I checked, it was late June .

Either way, I'm really looking forward to this. I spent countless hours on D2, and if D3 is going to be the same idea with vamped up graphics, it will be awesome.

They remind me of the presses from Cave Story. I'm assuming they're a rip of that.

In semi-related news, I haven't showed anything in a while, but:

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/k-TQhPfcq6o&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

As stated in the video, ignore the gradient for now - it'll be changed in due time. Song is composed by me, with some crickets added in . The description on YouTube itself has a bit more information that I don't feel like typing.

Comments?

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
--------------------------------

A couple people on IRC know that I'm a huge music nut, and I'm really into resequencing MIDIs (been practising by ear a lot lately, so I usually do stuff for VG Music), and composing my own stuff (even though they aren't always perfect). Figured I'd show a few MP3s and MIDIs I've done here.

Most of the custom ones were done for a Super Mario World hack, but I now consider them more of 'memoirs' than anything. I'd look at these from more of a gaming perspective, as that was their original intent.

COMPOSITIONS:
"Canyons"
Was going to be some sort of theme that would fit mountains, or canyons, or some sort of adventurous trek area.

"Shrine"
Sort of a depressing, haunted shrine-esque theme.

"Upbeat"
For .. something.

"Water"
Underwater, or beach, I guess.

"Caves"
I used some lower bit samples for this. Quite happy with the result.

And now for a few resequences I've done.

Cave Story: Moonsong

Chrono Trigger: Schala's Theme

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time: Koopaseum

Mega Man 9: Galaxy Man's Stage (think I overdid the 8-bit-esque samples a bit here. :x)

Mickey Mania: Giant's Table

Seiken Densetsu 3: Intolerance

I'm by no means an exceptional composer/resequencer, but this is something I like doing as a hobby. I hope you enjoy them.
