current SSID is BAD INTERNET because the router we were using wouldn't load it's own router homepage... what a wonderful time it was setting that trash up.

its really a shame how many of these have been happening for the past 3 years as far as i can remember.

it really hits me most when one of my online mutuals was in the school during the shooting
he's ok though

recently had some instant ramen cup with a lot of hot sauce.

for the past 5 or 6 months, the morning is usually 20°F or lower, and when i come back it goes to a tolerable 40°F.
just today it's 50°F in the morning with some light rain. i hope we start to get warmer weather.

EDIT (8/4/2018): the internet was down this whole morning, fun stuff!!

Posted on 09-11-18 04:12:14 PM, in Annoying things in games (last edited by Xkeeper at 09-26-18 04:01:54 PM) Link
i hate games which combat only works if you have the enemy aimed at

now it isn't a big problem, but only if the autoaim mechanic is poorly done

dead heat breakers is a game i recently played that suffers from this. at the near end of every round, you're suppose to "race" the enemies and try crashing into them to break into them.

the issue is that you have to wait until the game thinks you're about to hit them. if you go to fast into them, you get hit and lose all momentum and they just speed ahead of you. this is even worse if the track has ramps which you fly off since the game loses track of what you're aiming at so you gotta do that stuff all over again.

and you're on a strict time limit so

the only experience i had with AIM was when i was screwing around with a windows 98/XP PC i had 3 years ago. never used MSN messenger in my life.

i may look into this in the future, seems pretty cool.

EDIT: i got AIM to work, but MSN refuses to log me in.

If you're having trouble with MSN in XP, try updating the root certificates in WXP with this tool:

certs.zip

And then disable certificate checking in IE8 options. That should make it work. The reason behind the certs being out of date is because MS have since removed the files that update XP's root certificates (the same files used by Vista), since September 13.

If it still doesn't work, do the POSReady trick, go to catalog.update.microsoft.com, and install the Internet Explorer 8 cumulative security update from 2018-09 for POSReady 2009, and KB4019726, in reverse order of how I wrote. Then edit the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > AdvancedOptions > CRYPTO) and then go to TLS1.1 and TLS1.2 and delete the OSVersion key. Then enable TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in IE8 settings.

switched to XP and it finally worked!!

you guys ever get that feeling to archive stuff? ever since ROM files started to get scarce, my need to archive stuff for future use is rising faster than ever. it would be a shame to lose stuff i put so much time into years ago. i really dislike using cloud services since they usually have the mindset of ui design over functionality and i really like having physical storage rather than the usual digital solutions.

now that has a setback cause everything is produced so cheaply now, they're bound to corrupt in 2 minutes.
