Back when I was dicking around with MAME's debugger (my first actual debugging attempt), I found these strings loaded into memory. I recall seeing some test options in there, too. The text is interleaved in the roms somehow, the text will only show up correctly when the game is running.
Anyway.
I started messing around with the games and guess what I found~
You don't need to hold down the third button (set as Cheat in MAME). You only need to hold down Button 1 to get the Scroll test. But if you hold Button 2 instead... you get an OBJ pattern test menu!
Press P1 Up and Down to change the animation, P1 Left to add a crosshatch behind or overlayed on top of the character, P1 Right to change the background color, P1 Button 1 to play the animation, P1 Button 2 to reset the animation.
P2 Up / Down changes the selected value in Normal / Size / Body / Attack. Press P2 Button 1 to select the option, which ... does things. Body adds a bunch of crosses on top of the character. Press P2 Button 2 to unselect an option and be able to change it to something else. I'm just not sure how to change the character. It's always stuck on Guy.

Nope, I'm not a programmer, I only found these test modes because someone else did. Sorry. ^^;

Hi TCRF members,I find Unused level in 2008 the punisher mame arcade game via cheat finder system,maybe tcrf seen before me via scroll test or debug menus.Unused level is really beautiful level,plane hijacking gunman hijackers their boss is JIGSAW.Also I found a enemy only for running in scenes never fight with charcters.It is unused for fight in game but he have their own moves punch,kick,jump and laugh.He is famous villain Bruno Costa.My idea also many things unused in the punisher arcade.No body write a wiki on The Punisher Arcade Unused data.
My question Why TCRF not found unused material The Punisher Arcade?

I have seen these things unused level and unused enemy.I really want either not seen unused material in The Punisher Arcade.My idea TCRF have much unused things and unused data about this game.I hope one day hackers of TCRF find Scroll Test in The Punisher.I am waiting.

Mostly fighting games have time over lost pose but art of fighting(arcade) charcters not have time over lose pose.You can check both modes(story and vs mode).You can play in story mode only 2 charcters(Ryo and Robert) other charcters not playable in story mode.When you go bonus stage,Select 3rd Bonus Stage(HAOW KEN).If you never break Haow ken and time over.You can see player have time over only in bonus stage not in whole game.You can select only Ryo and Robert in Story mode,only these charcters have time over lost in Story mode(bonus stage).Other 8 charcter not playable story mode,they never go in Bonus Stage but they have their own unused time over lose pose in bonus stage(HAOW KEN).If you use charcter select cheat 1092C2 for PL1 and 1093C2 for PL2.You can select all charcters in story mode with these cheats.Mr.Karate and Ryo have same time over lose pose but mr.karate unused in Story Mode.
I don,t want disturb anybody when any TCRF member have time,please upload these unused lose pose pics and information on Art of Fighting(Arcade)page.Please save these pics websites remove pics a few days.

Thanks Foxhack.I also share Unused Colour(mr.Karate and Ryo)in Art of Fighting(Arcade).Ryo and Mr.Karate similar charcters.You can change their colour with eachother.Both charters have 4 colours but 2 colours unused for both.You can check.

I simply went into the tmap data for the level as it was loaded. To do this, in MAME press F4 then press Enter twice. If you do this as soon as the gunmen leave the level, the entire level is shown out like above (you might need to do some scrolling with the arrow keys), but with partial cockpit graphics. I just edited those back in afterwards.

Mr.Karate is really evil Ryo.But both have unused colours.It is second color of Ryo.
