Oh well, in my very second post I remember mentioning Wario Land has some X tiles (and the "Unused Bobo Boss" bank there is even an earlier "X" tile), but now I have deleted it.

Anyway, there doesn't appear to be a specific guideline for these sort of tiles in the wiki, but in my opinion it should be at least mentioned if there is a placeholder tile in the tileset, especially if there are different placeholder tiles in the same ROM.

If the tiles look absolutely the same in multiple games, there can be a global set of placeholder tiles. A new category for these kind of images, maybe?

I'm sort of curious why there wasn't a thread for this here.
Anyway, do you practice (or have you practiced) any sport? Both current and past sports are allowed.
I go swimming twice a week. Actually, it's been many years since the first time I've been swimming and even if overall my "time table" changed over the years, I still go twice a week for 45 minutes.
This year is HARD! It's like, the difficulty has jumped up, and how!
The difficulty didn't change much over the past years, but now it's starting to get insane, especially to someone who can get tired pretty easily.

In the past I have practiced Judo, but there isn't much to say about it. I don't even remember the most of what have I done! I stopped doing it back then because of the less free time I had those days. Now, I don't care anymore.

So, what about you?

The laptop still works as you see, it's just the screen that broke. Since the screen was already small (it's a netbook, what am I asking for), having to work with less screen area... just no.

Actually, the big laptop is the *first* one I have ever bought, although I have never specified it. When I bought it back in 2011 it was my first experience with Windows 7. This notebook can not go outside home. It's much more important than my netbook (which was bought in very late 2011 )

Anyway, I would hate to buy a new netbook, or any other notebook or desktop... guess why...

Here we go again! It's been a while since I've colored something with a pencil.

And with the scanner now working I can show details better (>implying want to put details), too bad the colors look much less bright than they actually are. I had to edit the colors manually, but still it looks like crap compared to the original one (which is crap anyway, why am I compaining ).

I think I use a fairly unothodox method to color with a pencil. It eats pencils faster than I eat my snacks, and it becomes quite hard not to draw overline, because I do a gradient with a dark color, then I press the pencil hard with a lighter color.

Welp, I thought I couldn't make comments on video because Firefox 25 broke down (considering Firefox 25 broke Photobucket horribly, I thought it did the same to YouTube, oh well.

This is a load horsecrap, great way to force everybody to switch to Google+.

Now what? You must have a Google+ account to upload a video? Bah...

There are some petitions online to restore the original comment system... but we will see if they work.

Well, it's been almost a month since the release, but it needs to be said anyway:

Windows 8.1 has been released.

People are all like "Woo Hoo the Start BUTTON is back yayz!!!!", until they realize clicking it doesn't bring up the Start MENU we have always loved since Chicago Build 81. Some things improved... yeah, but it's almost everything for the "apps" (new apps, and "OH I CAN RUN TWO APPS AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT A LARGE MONITOR WOWOW" that gets repeated everywhere), not the standard desktop.
The little desktop updates are to sort of hide the Metro Junk, much like how Windows 98 offered to "hide" web integration. In other words, nothing.

Some people are saying the Start Screen doesn't cover the desktop. Nice try, too bad I'd like to see my desktop icons, or a chance for the Start Screen not to cover the entire screen, but you know it's just using the same background as your desktop and nothing else.

We still have people comparing this to Windows ME, Windows Vista... too bad these were not interface problems, so unlike before it doesn't matter how much RAM you might have as you have to rely on external tools.

We see Microsoft is trying to push really hard to make us using Windows Live Accounts. ha ha, not gonna happen.

Overall Windows 8 was dogshit. The updates in Windows 8.1 are kind of a plus, so my rating here is "Dogshit Plus".

It's clear Microsoft is trying to make us update with new features and more "classic" comebacks. Yeah, nope (unless Ex7for8.1 comes, but still I'd take Windows 7).

So, people are still angry or mindless about using Win8, Microsoft still uses Munchkins, and Windows 7 is still the last sane version of Windows.

Thoughts? What will Microsoft do next?

NOTE: I'm just comparing the differences. The only reason I would like Windows 8 it's because it's based on Windows 7, which should have made everything instantly good, but they still screwed up pretty badly.

In all fairness, I was kind of lazy back then (*implying I'm not lazy now) but I did get to do was build some wierd "constructions" with leftover metal pieces.... (that's not a real hobby).
Only "now" I have a closest thing to a real hobby: VMs. I would do retro computing if I had more space in my house, so I have my fair shair of VMs (from Win1DR5 to Windows 8), and I sort of screw around and break everything. Sometimes I install as much modern software I can get to find (it's fun with NT 3.51). I can still load a snapshot if anything goes wrong.

I use both VMWare Workstation and VPC.

Also, I'd love to make a positive comment on your video ("Wow, how much time did you have to spend to get this good?"), but Youtube is forcing me to have a Google+ account.

ME was a buggy attempt to copy Win2000 with a broken RAM manager.

Vista had the infamous "Budget PCs" (RAM Problems)

Windows 7 had no "Budget PCs" (it's almost the same thing to Vista, just a slightly rearranged interface)

Windows 8, not a RAM problem. An interface one.

Yeah, once you install most of the software it gets acceptable, but I'm evaluating the first boot.

Why not? If it can't leave your home, why bother having a laptop?

Because I don't want to make the same mistake, although it's like "Unplug the computer to protect it from malware".

The reason it's a laptop is because I haven't got much space left to have a full desktop. A laptop is small and portable (from room to room).

Another reason is that it's mostly games there (read: only games and VMs) and no important stuff is stored there (the two external hard drive store the backups for the "work" pc), so there isn't much reason to take it outside.

To be fair, as long as it goes in its own bag (and only there, not in any other bag), I can take it outside.

I can imagine you sitting at your computer saying "hmm how can I crash this OS/VM today?" . If that is your game, I would install modern antivirus software like Norton or McAfee on an old OS. I don't know if those would crash it but they will certainly slow it down!

Spot on! If a VM is not important enough (ie everything after WinXP), it gets destroyed. With snapshots there is so much fun...

There is also the VX Netlux 60GB Virus Collection, which is also used in Danooct1 malware videos. Everyone asks him where to find them, but a simple search on Google is enough.

If Nintendo did that, it would literally become the dark ages on Nintendo consoles (aka the 90s). Online services are not an "add on feature" in today's world. People expect consoles and games to have online connectivity. Some people would migrate to different consoles if Nintendo did that.
I meant, this scenario will probably repeat somewhere in the future, not that it will always happen every moment on the future.
