Didn't you hear about Triforce? You know, the one that led to Sega's F-Zero AX/GX (I didn't see what was so wrong with them, outside of the "hard as hell" factor, by the way) and Namco's Mario Kart.

...What would be so wrong with it? Megaman's been in tons of fighting games he wouldn't belong in, and did fine in them. He wouldn't even be a blatant advertisement (cough ROY cough).

Anyhow... I seem to remember the number being near 3 for how many 3rd party characters would be in. A generic Belmont (probably Simon) would be a near perfect fit for the third one, seeing how they had almost the exact same heritage as Snake AND are another Konami property.

Regardless... Sonic. Awesome. Naka was trying to get him into Melee and Double Dash!!, anyway, from what I've heard.

So... it was announced today for the DS. Looks to be mainly just a port of the SNES version, but... Given how much they've been ignoring the original (barring Kirby's Adventure GCN which was, umm... cancelled), it's still pretty awesome.

Oh, and the graphics were improved, and there's CG cutscenes.

No telling what else will be in it yet.


Regardless of all this, Kirby Super Star was my (and undoubtedly others') favorite Kirby game, so I'm pretty excited.

No, but you can get Chip's Challenge no problem off the net.
You can just as easily get Tile World, an enhanced reimplementation of the game. It's well worth it.

Yes, damn them for adding popular characters. They should totally remove Sonic.

And Snake.

And Marth/Roy.

And all the Pokemon.

And the Zelda characters.

And Samus.

And the Mario characters.

And the Mother characters.

And everyone else. After all, you remove one thing and people will just flock to the next "coolest" one.

Voila! No more problem. You wouldn't want all those terrible people using one (and only one) character in all the online matches, would you?

Oh, and I consider both Sonic being in and the delay to be good things. Then again, a far less-polished game being released a few months earlier would be grand, wouldn't it?

There were two space emerald-collecting levels in SA2. Meteor Herd was by far the less obnoxious.

Then again, that's more because Mad Space was crazily irritating than because of any particular qualities that Meteor Herd had.

I love the design of Norfair. Its offset platforms make it easy to figure out but are a new arrangement to adjust to for grabbing items and such.
Also in Norfair, take note of the fact that the lava came from the left at the very end of the video.

Oh, and they put up a Smashville video with Sonic vs. Link. Sonic looks kinda crazy, although I wish the player whored the fire flower less so you could see more of his regular moves... Link looks similar enough to the old one, albeit with the already-seen updates.

Waitwaitwait. Watch the beginning of the Fire Emblem -Castle Siege movie again. Character-specific intros are back after not being in Melee! You can easily see Metaknight doing one of those dramatic cape-swirly things, Yoshi hatching from an egg, and green Mario coming from a pipe... Can't see Diddy Kong's, unfortunately. None of the other videos show these; the Delfino video starts right after the animations complete, and the rest are already in the match.
