I found a shiny Misdreavus back in Gold. That's... my only real shiny find. (I did Pokeradar a shiny Houndoom in Pearl, but then I knocked it out trying to figure out if it had flash fire. )

I haven't played anything else they've released recently (besides FF4DS and CTDS). |

Enterprise runs the full scale from "mediocre" to "pretty good". A lot of the earlier parts are completely forgettable, but the last couple seasons are quite good. Unfortunately, some of their best story arcs end up with lackluster conclusions (the whole Xindi arc's conclusion was rather disappointing, for instance). And it has Andorians. Andorians! Original series is fun, although the final season had some of the worst Star Trek ever. "Spock's Brain" is still yet to be topped in terms of sheer stupid. Quite a bit is really good, though. I'd personally recommend watching the remastered version, since it brought several of the effects up from "awful" to actually pretty good; obvious matte paintings aren't so obvious any more, they made it so the planets don't look like "generic blob of ink on the camera", and a few effects shots that were missing in the original release were added in. Of course, if you consider "60's-era special effects" to be part of the appeal, the older version is better. I still need to see the last half of Batman Returns. I keep seeing the first part and then missing the rest. I'm sure there's other stuff on the list of "must watch" that I haven't seen, but I don't remember what right now.

We don't even know for sure that S3K/KtEiS2 won't be in. Especially since they got the game rated in Britain for Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, "Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2" and "Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3". Unless you consider "the best experience" to be "not being able to combine it with Sonic 2", it seems okay to me. As for making the games based on Sonic Genesis... umm... just in terms of effort, what's simpler: getting the rights to a Genesis emulator for the DS, or completely (poorly) recoding 3 more games? Combine that with the idea of releasing more collections like this for pretty much no expense on their part if they use an emulator, and you get a viable business strategy.

Where's X9? Or Legends 3? Or Battle Network 7? Or Zero 5? ...Okay, maybe not Zero 5. Sheep Man is quite possibly the best robot master ever, and I like how Protoman is playable without spending extra money this time. 9 was fun, so this should be too.

That's not the problem. The problem is, the only way you can play as Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is to be playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Or to be playing 2 player mode, but that's not a game that's not "Sonic the Hedgehog 3".

Every indication is that Sonic 3 & Knuckles is included. Again, unless you can find a game titled "Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3" that is not actually Sonic 3 & Knuckles that Sega would bother getting rated for this compilation in the UK.

Theoretically, it was designed that way to absolutely ensure that there would be someone at the controls 24/7, by making it so that one person can only leave when another enters. I was going to suggest that skydiving like that wasn't a bad idea considering the whole "superhuman durability" thing, but then I remembered Logopolis and it put an entirely different spin on it. (Long story short: 4 regenerated into 5 because of falling from a radio telescope.) Of course, more likely was the whole thought of "I'll take the giant leap of probable death if it prevents the sum total of existence from being wiped out", which actually seems like decent logic to me. Kind of a shame they keep pretty much explicitly killing off all the recurring villains. Not that it ever really stopped any of them from showing up anyway, of course.

Perhaps you missed the part where Either way, it wasn't a suicidal leap. It may seem like that for humans, but if there's nothing else that the series insists on hammering in, Time Lords are not humans. You would put all the radiation into a place where someone's guaranteed to be if the primary way of causing that release would be from that chamber. Call it an anti-sabotage measure. Alternately, the rich dude who thinks that the Master being revived (without even being brainwashed like the cultists) is a good thing is not a good judge of ideas.

Originally posted by KeitaroBut notch-ear Pichu is adorable. Then again, Pichu in general is. Shame it's still kinda totally useless. The "special" ones are generally similar to the ones you'd get from events, where they're pretty much normal except that they have one or more special moves already. There's an area that has Surfing Pikachu (and Flying Pikachu; sadly neither comes with Volt Tackle), another one has Selfdestruct Munchlax, and so on. I'd give more examples, but I don't remember them off the top of my head, and I don't have enough movesets memorized to be able to pick out the odd moves. I'm very much looking forward to these games. Loved Gold and Silver, and it looks like these didn't remove like a third of the areas in Kanto. |

Doesn't look particularly human. People are very good at taking slight similarities and stretching them to fit (see: pretty much every single Jesus face on tree/potato chip phenomenon). Also, FieryIce, people cannot under any condition produce offspring with farm animals. Chromosome mismatches, etc. It's just a freak mutation, and rather evidently a nonviable one; they pop up occasionally.
