That'd be boring. Though I imagine what happened there might have been some debug button sequence or something.
There should really be tiers to speed running. There's breaking a game entirely like what happened in that super mario world one, but then there's legitimately completing it, while still using frame by frame input, and many games have various levels of completion. Super Mario World again as an example we all know as being fairly nonlinear, and can be completed while beating very few levels, or going the whole "normal" route of no secret exits, or doing a 96 exit run. Each is interesting in it's own way. Metroid games as well. Sure it's fun seeing the game completely broken and letting you go straight to Tourian with basically nothing completed, but it'd also be fun to see a minimal speedrun without the use of glitches to that extent, or a 100% run. ____________________ |
