I'd look into it myself... but I have no idea how to texture rip PS2 content.

Also, did anyone else see the spreadsheets? There's spreadsheets on the disc. Like a documentation of names and such.

What sort of tools are needed to view textures and graphical assets for PS2 and Gamecube games? Emulators, yes, but anything specific?

Using room modifier codes, one can access a bevy of areas inaccessible in Rockman Neo (Mega Man Legends beta version). Look here:

I'd love to fiddle around with this myself, but does anyone know how to convert those digits into a friendly format? Like Gameshark?

Rockman Neo also has PLENTY of beta textures that need to be ripped, too.

Protodude found a photo of a Japanese officer inside the Mega Man X4 Trial. That and an enemy from X5! It looks like Capcom planned to use it in X4 but ditched it and reused it in X5.

I want to start exploring some obscure PS2 titles. However, I'm terrible new to the whole ripping scene... so I'm wondering; is PSicture the right tool for viewing PS2 graphics/textures?

For example, I want to unearth stuff like this:

The final game is vastly different the builds shown at previous E3s. So much so, I wonder if anything is carefully hidden away. Do give this image a read:

Systems were gutted, but that doesn't rule out the chance of remnants hiding in the files.

Question is, has anyone begun to explore the game's files yet? I heard whispers there was, at the very least, alternate voiced dialog in the sound files.

MegaMan X7 is one of the worst MegaMan games and the worst MegaMan X game.

Come on, we've got Sonic '06 on the wiki, and X7 is at least a playble, decent-ish game.


X7's early content has always been intriguing to me. Honestly though, I don't believe anyone's taken the time to look through the final game's assets either. Who knows what remnants lay hidden.
