Well, it's certainly possible, but also keep in mind that lots of games keep their debug strings stored in the executable without any way to actually activate it.
And sorry, but I saw that video and Yakety Sax came to mind almost immediately.

Games evolve, sometimes things improve, and sometimes they don't.
What was different in that early version? Crafting, enemies, control?

Database error
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "SpecialRecentChanges::doMainQuery". Database returned error "1030: Got error 122 from storage engine (localhost)".
Looks like the server puked?

There's a guy at my local TF2 hangouts that keeps spamming the hell outta that taunt. It's so annoying, I'm refusing to heal him and / or I immediately go bonesaw his ass when he does it.

Is the artist for "High" correct? Wikipedia says the artist is "TMF", not "File".

That's what they should've done in the first place. But again, too much sense.

I use VMWare Player. Mostly to trade with my TF2 alt accounts, but also to test drive files that may or may not have viruses.

This is the list of files in that torrent:
BH1_Full_Game_Debug_Sample_01-31-1996/Bio Hazard (J) (Sample 1996.01.31) [SLPS-00222].bin 701.7 MiB
BH1_Full_Game_Debug_Sample_01-31-1996/Bio Hazard (J) (Sample 1996.01.31) [SLPS-00222].cue 0 MiB
BH2_BETA_v2.iso 744.6 MiB
BH2_TRIALEDITION.iso 304 MiB
BH_TRIALEDITION.iso 259.7 MiB
Biohazard (Beta Built 1995-08-04)/BioHazard - 1995 - 08 - 04 - Sample.bin 19.1 MiB
Biohazard (Beta Built 1995-08-04)/BioHazard - 1995 - 08 - 04 - Sample.cue 0 MiB
Biohazard (Beta Built 1995-10-04)/BioHazard - 1995 - 10 - 04 - Sample.bin 95.8 MiB
Biohazard (Beta Built 1995-10-04)/BioHazard - 1995 - 10 - 04 - Sample.cue 0 MiB
Resident Evil 1.5 Beta/BH2.bin 140.4 MiB
Resident Evil 1.5 Beta/BH2.cue 0 MiB
Edit: After talking to a friend who downloaded the hacked 1.5 release, the file size of "1.5 Beta" in this torrent more or less matches the hacked release. So this isn't anything new, just the already known beta dumps of RE1 and the Trial Edition (demo) discs of 1 and 2.

Still less ugly than the "I spent lots of money on games I'll never play for a TF2 hat" hat.
They should make this instead:

There's an unused powerup called "Turtle Up!" which greately reduces damage you take.

I vote yes on adding that to the site. That's a hell of a regional difference.

Worse, they have an art director? They have a freakin' Rockso the Clown mask... oy.

Sorry for the double post, but I don't think Valve cares if you give free hats with your games if you sell them elsewhere. Look at Bit.trip Runner 2 - preorders on Steam got a TF2 item... but people who preordered the game semi-directly from the dev via the Bit.trip Music Bundle got the game and the TF2 item. Likewise, Robot Entertainment sells keys for Hero Academy on their own store, and you get TF2 hats with them. I also got a TF2 hat from Telltale for preordering Poker Night at the Inventory directly from them.
I still find Valve claiming to have an art director on TF2 hilarious. But that's another thread. Sorry.
