That's fine, I understand. I'm jut interested in having a collection of games with debug tools active. It's a nice way of showcasing the tricks of the trade for this era of gaming. It'll be exciting years down the line to show these types of things, and to be able to distribute them to others so that they can appreciate the ways developers ahd to work around limitations.

I am super interested in this! I platinumed that bad boy on ps3. I'd love if there was more. It was sad that pandemic went to shit, but it was great sendoff. Really talented developer.

I think I have seen this castle you speak of. I remember orbiting it for countless tries to get into it. Brought tall cars, etc. No such luck. I'm going to have to grab another copy of this game soon. I sold it off once I polished it. I think I used it as trade in value for fallout new vegas. Boy do I regret that.

X-cult is slowly dying off, and we're about to shitcan the project since there are better ones like TCRF or Unseen64. So in an effort to maintain information and materials I'm slowly putting together a number of archives. The first archive is the images. They're set up in a folder structure by game name. I have weeded out the duplicates and garbage for the most part. The total RAR'd archive is 1.35GB split into 5 parts.

From what I can tell, the GoW code is really incomplete, but there are some interesting things, such as a player model, what appear to be two levels for single player (a grassy field and a ruined city, both found in the DemoGame content)), dodge and cover animations for the player, a broken Assault Rifle, coding for an unused Magnet Gun, coding for the Locus (known as the Geist back then). Unfortunately, it seems that the actual game can't compile correctly, leaving you with the GoW resources used in the demonstration game and the source code to look through. There's still a treasure cove of stuff in the source, so its not all lost. Based on the code, I'm pretty sure they were starting to shift from GoW being a FPS to a third-person game because there are a lot of references to things like cover, and DemoGame.exe runs in third person.

The Unreal Tournament "3" prototype is actually a bit further along than the GoW one because you can actually play it. The Insta-gib, Rocket Launcher, Shock Rifle, and Flak Cannon are in the game and are usable. The Shock Rifle has a completely different texture and model, but the RL and Flak seem similar to their UT2004 versions. There are a few extremly rough test levels, some of which correspond to UT1/2004 levels, while others are all new. There's also a strange-looking player model named "Sobek" that looks nothing like a model you'd see in UT2k4 or UT3. Its pretty much the definition of a pre-alpha.
