Been lurking around and I noticed noone has spoken about Day of Ruin.
From I understand that the game was never released in japan...though it still has all the text in japanese stored in the game. You can force the game to use the language with a action replay code. Is this worth noting or not? |

But yes, if that doesn't work the fact that the entire game script is technically 'cut' because it was never released in Japan is something neat. I would probably have added it myself when I eventually got around to it.
If your talking about setting the Firmware to Japanese, It doesn't do anything besides cause the game to run in english

Actually, It was added way before TF2 went F2P. It got added during a update on April 14 and has been sitting around in the files ever since. |

So basicly, If the game's anti-piracy detects there been a change in the .exe made by a third-party it does four things:
1. Sets loose a very fast PINK mini-scorpion that has infinite health right after you get the pistol in the first level. This thing follows you and attacks you until you somehow reach the museum. If you turn cheats on to kill all the monsters near you, It will just come back,.
2. In level 5, Heading under the highway with a modified .exe causes The DRM to make you look up and start spinning. Supposedly, It also raises the damage.
3. Causes the game to crash during the ending every time.
4. Causes the game to crash every 5 minutes.
I'm working on seeing if there any unused content. I'm only aware of the super armor item that was cut. |

I'm not expecting much more than the scrapped Super Armor item in SS3. It's development time was pretty quick, and it seems that all of the pre-release stuff in screenshots and the like are just different skins for models instead of something like removed enemies.
EDIT: The models folder also has some models that were originally made for a demonstration level or two that Croteam made of the engine back in the middle of 2010. Not sure if these models are actually used because the areas they could appear in, the city levels, make my PC chug if i browse them for an extended period in the editor.
I found some icons for a 360 version (The 360 version is still in development) and some textures called "TempleGDC" In Textures/Reflections

| I have a version of Deus Ex Human Revolution that was given to reviewers like gamespot and others. I've been trying to open the Bigfile.000 and Bigfile.001 for awhile now to see if there is anything. Is there anyway to extract the stuff in these? I know the game uses one of the newer Tomb Raider engines. |

Awhile back, Someone on Facepunch Studios made a mod based off this unused vehicle. I believe his name was "Teh Pirate". I couldn't find the mod and I didn't ask him how he got the vehicle working before he started to mod the code for it.
I don't have the game installed at the moment and my internet is going like crap right now. So this image will have to do for now.
From what the guy said, The dozer must of been cut late in the development because the code is unfinished. It explodes on small arms fire and often exploded when ramming objects |

A bunch of placeholders and other stuff.
This was in the beta I have and I have no idea if this is in the retail yet
There is also a hidden happy face on the audio log texture.

I played the beta awhile back and noticed there was a few things that went missing after the game was released.
- Knife Animations were redone for some odd reason.
- Blue tint was added in the retail version.
- Terrain Deformation by explosives were removed. I heard the reason was something about people digging tunnels to get under the map.
- A scene from the campaign trailer was completely cut from the game.
There is also a Silenced Magnum that the developers can only use. I don't know if this counts, but seeing as the gun is not usable to the public it should

Seriously neat.
Yeah. It is.
Anyway, Forgot to mention this: There is two other guns that only DICE Employees can use.
Speaking of Close Quarters, There is a clip of a 98r with a laser sight in the trailer. Look around on 1:20 - 1:30 to see it in the trailer.
So..Can this be counted as unused content seeing as the public can't use these weapons normally unless they run into a DICE Employee? |

From what is known, A few people dug up a few clips of unused vending machines for bandit guns and one other gun maker. I have the audio files for bandit vending machine in my dropbox.
If you have not heard, Some modders found a flag for a "BADASS MODE" in the save files.
The flag activates a Badass Mode that seems like it was supposed to function like Hardcore mode in Diablo, where death = permanent death, which is why the game goes into free-roam camera when you fail to revive, and your character goes away and the game creates a [graveyard.sav] (like the bones file in NetHack). Either Gearbox scrapped this to put into DLC for later, or they just abandoned the idea, because the code in the save file is probably incomplete because it spreads to other save files (probably because Badass characters weren't meant to mingle with normal characters) and because there's nothing to say that you're in badass mode and whatnot unless you look in the save file code, and there's no safeguards against it.

As for the texture, I was seeing if there was any unused textures and other stuff awhile back. I ran into some problems and was unable to get anything.
There might be a test map as well under the name of "test_carl". |

I was going to make a thread on this long ago. I got the game for PC a few day after it was release awhile back. Started in sandbox mode to play around til I got to the sniper bosses and noticed something odd. One of the bosses had a weapon called "AK-47". Which is strange because there isn't a ak-47 present in the game at all. It uses the sniper rifle model (No icon) AND has 10 more rounds that the normal sniper rifle.

I don't even fucking remember this. It's funny because This was just out of place. This heist apparently had you dress up as clowns doing awkward shit.
Oh and theres more. Some involve different plans of the heists. This makes me believe there was options for heists. These plans INCLUDE 1) Having a tank back you up during an escape. 2) Blackmailing someone. 3) Getting a military jet for Micheal.
Oh and apparently bruice was suppose to appear in GTA V. but got cut early since they apprantly didn't come up with the Lifeinvader name until after the script was made. |
