hooray i finished a new level and here is the torn-down Riverside Station!
The story behind this level is Riverside Station hadn't been used for a long time so construction workers from Poshley Heights tore it down and the land eroded eventually making the sandy spiral and i'm going to put more koopa shells to be koopas who wandered into the desert

sometimes mario will still walk through walls even when i delete the floor out from underneath it if i have enable death floor at bottom and its kinda limiting me on my hack because i want to make a platform level. i have google sketchup pro so if i can, how do i make it so he can't walk through? (same goes for a two story building without a death floor he walks through a table and falls to the first floor))

Yes metal_man88 i agree, rare has gone to the dogs, thanks to microsoft because they made that wii sports rip-off
and microsoft forced them to cancel a few games they were making one them was a sequel to Conkers Bad Fur Day
called Another Bad Fur Day, but its just kind of sad to see one of the best game series being destroyed by microsoft

Never heard of that happening...are you above the safe limit of 6500 polygons?

To my knowledge, though, the death floor shouldn't mess with the level collision...

not exactly, when i make a level, my walls have to be thick with no floor between the sides, and if i do a thin wall, mario jumps right through it, and when i have death floor enabled, he walks through the thick walls (no ground underneath) and falls through.

also, i modified my new level and so it set off the model position, how would i find how much i need to offset the model position in the importer? because i have a red coin placed on an arch, then added to the level in sketchup and it is off to the side so would i take the old my coin is placed at X 345
Y 654 and Z 792 and in my new modified level, it is X 567 Y 924 and Z 214
do i do new coords minus old coords or vice-versa?

Over 2/3 done now. I expect to be done by around August/September. Or i could go with the popular 11/11/11 date and get extra testing done. Extra way-more-then-necessary testing.

sweet! star road looks like it's gonna be awesome!
also, sorry to hear that RDX but congrats on graduating and have a happy birthday when it comes!

another thing about the Banjo Kazooie thing,
in the end of nuts and bolts, Kazooie asked L.O.G. 'Can I have my old abilities back? If this game isn't successful, (which it wasn't!) we might need them for the next one.' and L.O.G. drops a box that had red feathers, gold feathers, and a flight pad.
But then again, L.O.G. says 'Good Point. Although you may never get another game.'
And Grunty says while in L.O.G.'s factory: 'Leaving me here was a big mistake, Just wait for the devious game I make!'
so who knows..

i wish i could contact Rare directly and ask them straight-up if they were making another game about Banjo but i searched all over their website and couldn't find a mailing address or email address, any suggestions?

While I'm here, the Virtual Console crappiness lately is really annoying. There's so many good games they could put on there - Super Adventure Island 2's already been rated, Mega Man X means that X2 and X3 are distinct possibilities, Mario Party 2 means the same for MP3, Chrono Trigger is on the way I think... and they're spacing VC releases out to every other week and half of those are crap. What the hell.
And those are from the few companies who actually care about the VC; Hudson, Capcom and Square Enix.
Hopefully there's improvements made when 3DS gets its VC service. And Project Cafe/Wii 2. Price drops might help because it really doesn't make sense to buy a Genesis game for $8 when you can get them on Steam or XBLA for much less.
they do need to release more VC games i wish they'd release Rare games but can't cause they don't own them anymore and plus if you try running DK64, BK, or BT on Wii64 they run really slow and the sound sucks. (plus, conkers bad fur day doesn't even boot0

Try putting the red coin star where you think the gold star should be (not the one under it).

k it worked, thanks! what would some good music suggestions be? and how many songs from one game would you recommend having?

Having dug through data and archives, it appears quite obvious Rare is finished as far as making their own stuff goes.

They had a new Kameo in mind and everything. But Microsoft told them to drop it and throw out their progress to support Kinect Avatars and nothing else.

Their current website is completely new, and all traces of the old one (and the snarky people of the past) were scrubbed.

They're dead, Jim. Being in denial won't bring Banjo back. Rare wasn't one to sugar coat things--all of those 'You may never get another game again!' things in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts were put there on purpose. As it said, if that game didn't sell, Banjo was finished. It didn't sell; no more Banjo.

Just as the lack of sales/quality for Perfect Dark Zero finished that franchise.

Rare's main staff left even prior to their sale to Microsoft--Star Fox Adventures' shoddy quality can be pointed at how the good people left during Perfect Dark.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I've pored over a lot of info, and there's no good news to be found anywhere. Rare themselves refused to allow a group of Rare fans to even make a film about them, causing said fans to shut down their site and delete their Banjo-Kazooie data. Not only are the current people at Rare not the old ones, but they are actively hostile against any would-be revival of Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, or any other of their IPs.

who's jim? anyways, microsucks has practically ruined Rare.. but they are under contract, and i contacted nintendo and the employee said:

if you mean me, i'm not here to bash on microsoft it's just i'm just kinda disappointed that rare no longer makes games. And i emailed a Rare address for the scribes on their page and i asked if there would be a new Banjo game and i haven't gotten an answer yet so i'm hopeful.
I am not trying to bash on anyone or anything. But it isn't really Microsofts fault like metal_man88 said: If Nuts and Bolts isn't succesful, no more Banjo
or something like that and hes right its not microsofts fault

Anyway I have noticed a bug that doesn't let me save the game and was wondering if anyone out there could help me in fixing this. I am also going to need to know how to make a patch if anyone could also help with that. By the way, I'm new to the site.

I was told to ask this here but I am not entirely sure if the problem was caused by TT64. If any more information is needed just tell me, and please try to bare with me as I am new to this stuff.

this is just a generic help thread not just for tt64
so on what level did u import over? if you didn't set objects try setting a star down and getting it on a new save file. it should say you've collected a star want to save? etc etc. if thats not the case, idk what to tell ya

And you have this weird thing with a red coin, that when you try to place it, in Sketchup its position is
X: 345
Y: 654
Z: 792

And if you actually import it, its position gets set to:
X: 567
Y: 924
Z: 214
EDIT: Got it. It's your wall collision. It's not that the Death Floor messes with your collision, it's just that your wall is glitchy to begin with, and the Death Floor just makes it easier for Mario to die by it. So I would find some way to fix your wall. Why do I think this? Because, as said elsewhere (somewhere) in this forum, if you have the Death floor off, you cannot fall off the level no matter how hard you try (except in Castle Grounds which it's just...weird), but if you have it on, then the entire level is covered near the bottom by a floor made of death, and your level is no barrier to falling off (if you suck at building levels, anyway).

the red coin thing is its toads tool position i put a red coin in my level using tt64 at those first coords then i added onto my level using sketchup, imported the level again, and it's position was offset. Anyways do you know of any good ideas how to fix one of the walls? and i'll make a youtube video ahowing whats happening.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
