Clockwork Angels.
Probably the best Rush album of the past twenty years.

This chunk of plastic and metal is the most annoying thing in my home server. For some reason, Dell decided to ignore a bunch of standards with the Optiplex 755, so there's no standard motherboard front panel connectors. Instead, there's this piece of shit.
The fancy capacitive touch power button on the front of the case is rendered useless because FUCK STANDARDS WE'RE GODDAMN DELL.

I am a guitarist. I've played for years.
I played the clarinet in grades 6 and 7, but haven't played since.

It is a billion fucking degrees in Fernie. It's a good thing the hotel has AC and tomorrow we head to Edmonton.
Also I will be mostly forgetting the existence of the Olympics this time around. The summer ones don't interest me as much as the winter ones do.

If you think that 65C816 assembly language is the only thing referred to as ASM, you really need to spend time programming things other than the SNES and/or spend less time ragging on SMWCentral, as it seems like the kind of place you'd be right at home at.

Cross-posted from the Cordilon equivalent of this thread.
[1:02:53 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): So, impressions of the new Offspring album:
[1:03:11 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): First two songs: Mix of new and old Offspring punk rock sound. Good stuff.
[1:03:45 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Third song (title track, "Days Go By"): alt-rock + punk rock = good stuff.
[1:04:10 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Fourth and fifth tracks: Sounds like older punk Offspring. I approve.
[1:04:40 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Sixth track: The Offspring meets LMFAO. Not a great part of the album, but better than if LMFAO alone had done it.
[1:05:01 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Seventh: Longer, more modern rock/punk hybrid song. Me gusta.
[1:06:11 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Eighth: I call this one "punk drum and bass". Song is about mexican gangsters in the OC.
[1:06:27 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Ninth: Ooooooold Offspring song re-recorded. Neat.
[1:06:48 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Tenth: Not sure what to make of this one. It doesn't fit into Offspring punk or modern rock.
[1:07:39 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Eleventh and twelfth (final) tracks: More older punk rock style. The latter of the two tracks alludes to the movie Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
[1:10:40 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): Overall impression: Four and a half stars. I've been needing a new punk rock fix for a while.

Congratulations, Xk. You've received an invitation that many of us will always dream of but next to none of us will ever see in their own inboxes. I guess this means that Gabe thinks you're as awesome as we do!

Star Trek Online for me. Season Six came out the other day and our fleet is already working towards constructing a starbase.

Three on my right leg, one on my left, one on my stomach, and one almost-gone one on my right arm.

Might be something of a bottleneck. If you can spare a bit more for a mid-high-end i7, it'd be worth it.

[12:45:20 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): last night
[12:45:23 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): I had this really odd
[12:45:29 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): and I mean REALLY odd dream
[12:45:41 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): I don't recall the specifics
[12:46:08 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): but it ended up with me dating some chick a year older than me with slightly brown skin (mexican heritage maybe? not sure exactly but I digress incredibly)
[12:46:14 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): somehow it ended up in this scene
[12:47:04 AM] Troy Martin (Kazinsal): that oddly and horrifyingly (and, retrospectively, hilariously) parallelled the infamous miscarriage drama strip of Control-Alt-Delete
Now what in the nine hells does THIS mean?

I haven't done a conference call for a few months. I think the last one I did was one in which we finally put a mod project to rest.
I'm on pretty much all the time for just text chat though. Especially at stupid hours of the night.

Because "let's remove legal public access to automatic assault rifles" isn't a logical way to stop people from, y'know, casually murdering movie patrons with automatic assault rifles.
Also, this is going to make my job weird over the next few days. I'm not allowed to let the media into the theaters, and I'm not allowed to talk about the incident past the usual canned "we are saddened by it please direct your concerns to Herp Derpson, VP of communications, blah blah blah" if they ask me. And seeing that I work at the largest movie theater in the greater Vancouver area, I think I might have to deal with some news people...

Good luck getting a competent C++ coder for a project you won't say anything about.

Usually spiders here are quite small, but one day I encountered a very VERY large motherfscker. Like, two inches across.
What made it worse was it was 5am at the time.
