Hi everybody I'm a new here but i'm familiar with rom hacking. started hacking with nes roms but usually end as trash.

Anyway this video which I just post up in youtube is not really a rom hack. But I change most of the music in the game. It really interesting. Tell me what you think.

If the annotations bother you. You can turn them off.

Hello I have question.

I have played some hack roms like the ones Listed in the released SM64 hacks threads.

And I notice at the beginning Mario 64 title screen the bottom copyright part the screen where it usually say "1996 Nintendo" would be edit to say something else or to act as a sub title.

I like to know how to edit that part to so I can add my hack rom name as the sub title.

Thanks!

Hi i'm back and thanks everyone for helping me earlier but now i'm again with a very noobish problem.

I completed my second level and I decide to add music with MusicXML Importer instead of using MML file.

And It work. But there no sound sfx coming from the game. I try again with a much simpler midi file that only have three channels but still no sound. Thanks again.

If you have another sequence imported, check it's length too.

I follow Me-me advice by decreasing the length of the midis using 3MLE midi editer. Since most midis loop twice. Also when I imported into the game to test out the music I now choose a sequence number instead of choosing "-all" and that helped alot.

Thanks later I post a short video of my hack progress in a another thread.

Hello everyone! I mention earlier that I was going to post my first major hack as soon as I learn how... 8-/ I started but I were not sure where to start. After spenting some time in FAQ thread (thanks everyone BTW) I learn the concepts and some other basic skill on creating my hack rom. So here it is!

There will be a demo but I think I just go start making the full game instead.
(same info posted in youtube video)

Here what I'm going for..
The full game will have
8 - 10 main levels,
10 - 12 side levels including the three caps levels
70+ plus stars.
Main over-world (Precious Palace) with 3 area.
Custom musics for all sequence (including the End Level and Collect Star Theme).
Custom background for all level (as seen in part 2)

Hi everyone I have a question.

I like to know how I can set more then one star position in different levels. I am planning to add the Peach Slide Star (Collision Type 33/34) for each levels to act as a time trial race.

But when I set the position of the star the position is set for all levels.

I also doing the same for the Penguin Mother star for each levels.

Hi everybody It been a while since I posted about my game Maestro Mario 64. Here a quick look of the 2nd overworld area. There are four gateway level in this area. The different colors show what level type it is. (Red = Fire Level, Blue = Water Level, Purple = Take a guess)

Also the clear gateway in the 4th pic will take you to the 3rd overworld area which I still working on.

I was hoping somebody say that! that one of the games I had in mind while creating this map.

Thanks! Those portals are level warps and this map one of the 4 over-worlds.

There are 4 over-worlds each will have 4 level warps except for the last (3 levels including Bowser level) total of all 15 levels.

BTW there is a 4th portal underwater but it hard to spot.

Greeting everyone

I have a rather off topic question. I like to know if there is a better game recording program them fraps? The videos I record usually turn out very laggy. I'm sure It because of my computer (WindowXP + 1 Gig ram). But if you know a better recording program or if my computer just slow I like to know.

Thanks

BTW: For anybody who like to know. I haven't stop working on Maestro Mario 64. The progress is going great!

Hello everyone

I been waiting to post more gameplay of my game SM64: Maestro Mario. The game development is still going strong (It pretty much my hobby now until game is finish) so from here on going to post more info and gameplay videos.

This video here Is my first "real" level New Nimbus Quarry (I said that because the amount of effort put into this level unlike my Lunar Stornghold level which will be replace.)

This level was inspire from the level "Dark Hollow" from the game "spyro the dragon" for the playstaion.

Early in the video you will recognize some part from the Dark Hollow stage like the hills and the underground area.

^ That music sounded like the actual Zelda game! And the custom voices are awesome too! I would like to see somebody combine Luigi SSB voice on TT64 Luigi model.

I recently posted a few more ingame musics of Maestro Mario because I was bored.

Maestro Mario Musics: New Nimbus Lake Theme

Maestro Mario Musics: Metal Cap Theme

Maestro Mario Musics: Wing Cap Theme

This is great! Keep posting those hack roms a maybe one day SM64 hacks will be just as popular as SMW hacks. Peoples are still making SMW hack today. Which is good too.

Anyway here a few more of Maestro Mario 64 soundtracks to will be feature in my demo. It amazing what you can do with a simple midi file.

Keep in mind the levels in these photos are not in my game. This will also be my last soundtracks before the demo. I don't want to give away too much.

Guilty Gear series - Blue Water, Blue Sky!

Mckids - Stage 2

Super Mario Kart - Credit Theme

Mario Golf 64 - Mario Open

Blues Journey - Stage 2

Hello everyone I started working on my game again. I'm already started on my 3rd level and I want to finish four levels before I release my 1st demo.

Recently I played a few hack roms that use transparent textures. I like to know how to add them in my game. I'm using Google Sketchup. Thanks

Here a long video that fun watch and a little funny too. I found a new uses for a couple of warps that is not often used. If you get a star or if you lose a life you will remind in the same level with all your coins and progress rather then being thrown out of a level each time.

But there a downside to this. If you lose a life by getting crush Mario's model will disappear and you won't be able to move or exit a level.

Hi everyone I have a problem I been trying to figure out. I'm using TT64 and I trying know how can I start the wing cap level without Mario wearing the wing cap on? I'm trying to change the the wing cap level into a secondary hub area. I try differnt warps setting with TT64 but it doesn't help.

A quick reply would be nice I have to stop my current progress because of this.
thanks for you help.
