I got a paper to do in college! It's a definitive paper using the Toulmin Method. It goes like this.

Claim: X is a Y. (For this paper, X is a hero, or X is a role model. X is a person. Y is a hero or role model or not a hero or not a role model.)
Grounds: X is a Y because reason A and reason B.
Warrant: Anyone who does A and B is a Y.
Backing: Anyone who does A is a Y because of an elaborate well typed explanation. Also, anyone who does B is a Y because of an elaborate and well typed explanation. This is the hardest part in the definitive paper.
Rebuttal: While X is a Y, there are things that make him opposite of the Y. There are two things at least that makes X not a Y to some people.
Qualifier: A sentence that understands the Rebuttal and re-iterates the claim in an understanding way.

X is the person. Y means hero or role model. A is one reason why he's a hero or role model and B is another reason.


Since I don't want to cheat, I am just trying to brainstorm ideas. It has to be someone who can be argued about. Argue is taken generally. No one's gonna fight about it. But they could ARGUE the points that X is a Y because A and B. It can be anyone, from family, to fictional characters. Someone even made a Toulmin Method paper of his dog once.

I am wondering, who can I talk about? One person I can think of is some rom hacker.

I got Youtube to play on my TV, and while that's no real achievement, let me say, putting LICS music on the TV was an awesome thing to do. I suggest you try it. It sounds TONS better on TV than on PC.

I have been watching episodes of Spongebob like crazy. (I mostly couldn't help it. Nickelodeon seems to have shown the damn sponge over 200,000 in a week.) But every episode seems to be "real" in a sense based on the cartoonists' mood at the time, as they seem very random. If they cause the apocalypse or destroy a town, the next episode will have everything alright, as if nothing happened.

There is a secret explanation to this.

It all starts with an episode where Manray was frozen in tartar sauce in one episode. Yes Spongebob frees Manray in that one episode but that was in the "present" at the time. In a LATER episode, much later, Spongebob and Patrick come across a time machine.

THIS TIME MACHINE IS SIGNIFICANT TO THE SERIES.

Back in time, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy were about to dump tartar sauce on Manray to stop him from controlling the city. But a folly involving Patrick's penchant for eating made things difficult, causing the present to go to crap. So this caused Sponge and Pat to go BACK IN TIME to stop Patrick from eating the tartar sauce. Another folly occured. And another. I don't remember ALL the details, but let's get to the main point of the episode.

THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of Spongebobs and Patricks from DIFFERENT timelines eventually arrived at that time. THIS IS IMPORTANT SO STAY WITH ME.

Suppose each of them went back in their respective timeline. Each timeline would have a different direction for each of the thousand Spongebobs.

SO THE EPISODES MUST TAKE PLACE IN ONE OF THE ALTERNATE TIMELINES.

THIS MEANS THAT SPONGEBOB REALLY DIED VIA GHOSTLY ATOM BOMB, WORKED AT THE CRUSTY CRAB UNTIL HE BECAME A SKELETON, DESTROYED BIKINI BOTTOM, TURNED PLANKTON INTO A BABY, ETC.

ALL IN DIFFERENT TIMELINES.

So anything that's permanent, actually happened to Spongebob.

I like to think of Jul as a nice little home too. And Retro as the big city down a ways from Jul. I made new friends who used to not like me, and I made new friends who I didn't even know about! Some friends were on acmlm BEFORE I was!

I recently decided to try to replicate a glitch that occurred a long time ago, when I had the cartridge of Donkey Kong Country 2. I was young-ish. About 10 or so, when I discovered this weird sound glitch.

But before it happened, let it be known that it has had its fair share of sound glitches like delayed sounds, especially the sound Squawks makes when spitting eggs get delayed by like a half a second.

Now for the real glitch. In the level Toxic Tower, I was messing around. I decided to jump into the acid when I became Slithers the Snake. (Or I may have jumped in as the monkeys, I don't remember exactly.)

Then all of a sudden this low growl repeated itself before I died in the acid. Something that sounded like the second half of Kleaver's pain sound when hit with a cannonball. At first, I thought it was Klaptrap, but instantly realized that Klaptrap was REALLY only supposed to make the bite sound.

Recently, I tried to use emulator magic to replicate the sound, SRM loading and game genie. But to no avail. I can't make Klaptrap growl like he did all those years ago...

EDIT: I JUST REPLICATED IT! It was awesome. Still, there must be some glitches you couldn't replicate on an emulator, isn't there?

Here, we talk about the mindsets of cartoon/anime characters and understand the underlying attitudes of them!

I'll start with Classic Bugs Bunny. (The more KNOWN classic Bugs)

Have you noticed his personality when he's not being chased around and outsmarting his enemies? His arrogant attitude, and his "rich guy" mentality?

This could underlie his attitude at life.

Almost every day, he's been chased by someone who hates him, and want to kill him. Day in and day out, no matter where he goes, (even touring france once) he is chased by someone who wants to cook him for dinner. His whole life has been revolved around this, always using his smarts to outwit even the most clever of enemies. (He outwitted a scientist at a university once!)

This has persisted until that is pretty much all he knows. He made it into an art. In one episode, he stated he STARTS HIS DAY looking for Elmer Fudd so he can outsmart him. Possibly to brush up on his life-saving techniques.

This attitude has developed a desensitization of humanity itself. He thinks himself more clever and life-rich than anyone else. His arrogant attitude stems from years of outsmarting those who could care less about him.

If you feel sorry for Bugs, think of Daffy. While Bugs may be hated in his personal life, he is adored by a fictional fanbase on stage. And no one liked Daffy when he appeared on stage.

People like a person who has enemies that WANT TO KILL HIM, more than they like him. Poor Daffy.
