As evidenced by my avatar... classic. I'd say 66-79 are when mainstream music didn't suck IMO. Also the last good concept album was in 1979, Joe's Garage by Frank Zappa. The two 80's bands pretty much I can stand listening to an entire album are Talking Heads and They Might Be Giants. I first heard Flood by TMBG when I was about 7, having heard They Might Be Giants before on Ka-Blam previously. I still haven't heard anything since the 90's that's as good as that album.
