Conker: BFD. I beat the main game a while ago, but the multiplayer is great fun as well.

Should you play it? I honestly can't tell you if you should or not. The game is just that nuts.

Lol, this funny thing is I was just about to post this game. I'm doing a no-shield run, am I crazy?

Anyway, for that battle. Stand behind one of the big square blocks and let Anixil press his head against it to no success. Then run to the brick on the opposite side of the room and blast him. Always charge your PSI circuit to its maximum, except when he goes nuts with the stars in form 2. Then charge to like level 10 and attack with small bursts of power; that will destroy the stars as well. I agree that the laser beams are the most irritating thing here, they will put huge dents in your shield and leave you open for weak bullets to hit you. Just stay behind that brick and you might not be too affected by them...

When you get to form 3 and the colors go crazy, standing behind the brick is again the best idea. Your shield will deflect hits from the circular bullets and become no weaker, so just worry about the huge laser waves he sends at you, which will rip through your shield like it isn't there. Whenever you whack Anixil with your Circuit, he'll fly off in the opposite direction at high speed, so just blast him when he gets close while hiding behind the brick. I've actually managed to beat this form without getting hit before, though I think that was more luck with Anixil not feeling like ramming into me at high speed. I usually just go for maximum charge here, as there are no bullets that are destroyed with weak charges.

I'll be damned if I can beat the second boss without a shield.

Anyway, I like this game. It takes strategy. You can't just rush in and expect to have you Circuit charged in time to wipe out a wave of monsters (especially if you're insane and playing without a shield...).

Also Hiryuu, did you manage to beat Wervyn Anixil with the Agate Knife?

They get more aggressive on normal too, it's just that when you save/load, their aggressiveness returns to normal levels. I think it's a glitch. It's rather fun sweeping all three bosses in one shot and having hyper-aggressive monsters chase after you, especially after you take the seal. Most monsters move faster than you even with the Metabolism Booster, and they take a hell of a charge to destroy.

It's really a shame that the game doesn't save the increased aggression levels, especially when it DOES save the exact position of every single PSI crystal you leave lying around
