Let's see...

In approximate order of date, starting with most recent:

) Compaq PSU refuses to work unless it's plugged into the wall first, then plugged into the motherboard
) Sevral computers die suddenly when I decide to make them more useful
) Ancient Am386 (the AMD 80386) with a dead battery. Set date, time, hard disk type, display type, floppy disk type, boot order, and memory test whenever it's been off for more than about 24 hours. (Upside: Working turbo button and speed display!)
) Nvidia video card refuses to display DVDs properly with updated drivers
) Combo DVD/CD-RW drive can't read CD-Rs
) Fried BIOS. (Or maybe it's the motherboard?)
) Loose hard disk cable during reformat
) And numerous other things, mostly involving wires.

Mine? Wikipedia to the rescue. Streched to 1024x768.

Try 1280x1024, that's what the cool kids use!

Reasons I use 1024x768 rather than anything else:

1) This monitor is old, even though it can go up to 1600x1200, everything looks fuzzy at 1024x768. I would have it at 800x600 832 x 624, but (a) then too many programs don't fit, and (b) the "official" drivers won't let me. (I only use the official ones because of hardware gamma adjustment. As soon as I get a brighter monitor, those drivers die.)

2) I have better eyes than other people. The refresh rate must be at least 70hz for me to even look at it without getting a headache. The maximum this monitor can do is 75. I once previewed some crazy resolution, and it defaulted to 55hz. I could see the whole screen going between on and completely black. And it was painful.

And now, if it wasn't so late, I would take apart this computer, add more video cards, swap around monitors, and figure out what those two interlaced resolutions are.

Me, I'd get a sound blaster.

Why?

1) It's cheap.
2) I'm not running Vista, and at this rate I probably never will.
3) Hardware/software problems? Give me your worst!

Windows can force my NVidia Vanta into 832 by 624, but I have to disable the gamma adjustment, which makes everything too dark.

Also, PowerStrip?

I do that too often.

All right, so those tags are gone. Now I'll try it...

Hmm, the <p> tag fails. Change that to <div>. (Don't forget the stylesheet!) Also, remove all line breaks. So, you would enter this as a header:

<style type="text/css">div.one { border-style: solid; border-color: #FF8655; } </style><div class="one">

And this as a signature:

</div>

So, let's try it out.
Testing your layout.
This looks like you want it to, correct?

In all seriousness, though, that sounds really weird. Especially when I unplug my headphones... These speakers have too much bass.

I like it.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
