My family still loves VHS tapes, and we've never really gotten rid of any of them so I still have tons from when my sister and I were kids. We also still use blank VHS tapes to record shows that we won't be able to watch on TV when we're not home. We have really basic cable so we don't have some special box that can do that for us.

It sounds bad, but it really doesn't bother me. 50 channels is enough, and it's not like I don't have a DVD player (or PS3 for Blu-Rays) if I want to watch something a bit newer.

I live near Toronto Canada, so snow is a pretty common thing. When I was a kid it would sometimes start snowing as early as October, although in recent years we have been having green Christmases, and the snow doesn't usually arrive until January or February.

Like Darkdata, I definitely look at snow differently now than I did when I was a kid. It used to be fun to play in with friends, although now it's just a pain to shovel and causes some pretty dangerous driving conditions.

Haha that's funny. I was actually at Anime North this past weekend, which is an anime convention that takes place in Toronto. It looks like you had a lot of fun at Anime Boston though, and Rick I'm very jealous of your Fire 'N Ice cart for the NES. That's a pretty rare game!

But really, I find it hilarious watching them try to justify all of the features that do almost nothing but hurt the consumer. Saying that the consumer just needs to be "educated". I really hope that this ends up showing them that they can't always force people into thinking what they want.
