9:00 PM for the easterners, 6 PM for us west coasters, and varying times in between for the meat of the sandwich that is the US.

Who's tuning in for this one tonight?

I'll no doubt be seeing it live over CNN via the web once again.

I would just wonder, regardless of the outcome, how much this will actually change.

And Obama's been trending downward in polls depending on ones you look at, as well.

Most of the media is trying to focus on the fact that at least one of the 'red states' is dipping towards Obama now (forget which).

Once again, it depends on where you're at...but I know the democratic party, Michelle Obama at least in a speech, are pushing for your early votes.

Probably so they don't fsck it up in the last three weeks. If the polls are really that true, which I can't fathom as completely true given all the ACORN fraud and bullshit like that as of late that's being investigated by at least 15 states, then all Obama needs to do is play defense then and drag across the finish line when he could've sealed the deal numerous times now and have run away with it.

It's going to end up close no matter how you look at it...and we'll likely get another RECOUNT like '04 with the way things are going.

I'm not sure where you're getting that "trending" thing (Numbers: Today (Yesterday)):

                 Obama McCain MoE +/- RV/LV

Research 2000: 52 (52) 41 (41) 3 LV
Reuters/Zogby: 48 (49) 44 (43) 2.8 LV
Battleground: 51 (53) 43 (40) 3.5 LV
Rasmussen: 50 (50) 45 (45) 2 LV
Diageo/Hotline: 49 (48) 41 (42) 3.4 LV
Gallup: 50 (51) 43 (42) 2 RV

As far as I can tell, most of them are relatively stable, and Obama's still up a great deal.

Besides, you should know by now that nothing in politics is ever stable.

(Of these six, Obama is down in 3, up in 1; McCain is down in 1 and up in 3.)

More than likely just statistical jitter. It's been like this for the past week or so.

I'll be watching this for sure. Mostly to redeem myself for not watching the VP debate (although now I'm not so sure I missed out on very much.)

edit:
JOE THE PLUMBER

I loved it when McCain kept talking about how Obama was going to fine Joe the fucking plumber, then Obama basically kicked him in the nuts when he said zero.

The wave of good jobs from McCain to Obama at the end... Seemed like he was mocking him a little bit.

I missed that part of the debate, so I have no idea what's going on with Joe. I heard them mention Joe the Plumber in the post-debate.

Heh, the Joe we know on Jul will just LOVE this.

Yeesh. Canada's election yesterday had way less drama than this. And at least we have a multi-party system!

(Well, America does too, but... yeah... only two actual parties.)
