Well, we didn't have anything yesterday, no silence or anything (probably because we're not from the USA)

I, too, think that people should move on with their life. It was an awful day, but for us, so were the Jokela shooting or Myyrmanni bombing days. Of course they weren't as huge incident as the 9/11, but they still shook the whole country.

You should remember those who died, but you shouldn't mourn the whole day.

I was flying back home all day yesterday. And I do mean all day. I left Vegas at 12:50, got to Houston at 6pm and got home at 11:00pm. Yay for a day wasted! And all three airports that I was in yesterday were all very busy.

I think people should forget, it's bad enough, we've let it bother us enough, it made people stupidly 'patriotic' enough to elect Bush a second term, but it's over now, and we should let it stay over. It's not mentally healthy to dwell like this. I had completely forgotten about it until the principle had to spend homeroom blahing at us about it, and I forgot it again until I saw this topic. Probably because I don't watch TV much, so I saw nothing.

Funny fact about 9/11: I didn't know about it for around an hour and a half after it happened. I was in a class from 8:30 AM to 10 *shudders at thought of early classes* then only found out when I went to the mall (college linked to subway station which is linked to mall, plus it's across the street) and was wondering why a bunch of people were crowded around the TV in a sports gear store. (I was obviously thinking big SPORTS news, not... big news.)
