I had a terrible leg cramp last night. It hurt like hell and I thought I was dreaming it. I woke up around 6am to use the restroom and I could hardly walk. My leg didn't want to stretch out at all. And now at 7am it still hurts and I'm still having trouble walking on it.

How the heck I thought it was a dream is beyond me, but I kinda wished it was. I have to go to work and stand for 8+ hours.

Anyone here had a dream that they thought was real or visa versa?

That same thing happened to me a while ago, except it was an arm cramp. It hurt for hours and I couldn't sleep!

When I fell asleep from either pain or being too tired (I don't remember which), the problem went away by morning...

Standing for 8+ hours with a leg cramp... not fun!

It hurt for about 2 days too ...

Not too sure, but sounds like you developed a charlie horse, Anya. When muscles are worn from consistent labor, and are put to rest without any prior stretching, they "tighten" and extreme pain can develop.

I have a similar job in which I stand all day, and I do leg stretches once I get home so as to eliminate any chances of charlie horses developing.

In regards to dreaming something that actually occurred...
...Long story short, I wet my bed.

Charlie horses are terrible. I haven't had one in a while thankfully. They're actually caused by a lack of potassium in addition to not stretching. So, eat a lot of bananas or other high potassium foods.

As for dreams, I have plenty that seem incredibly realistic. Yesterday I had some dream where right before I woke up, I was hugging a girl and it felt like I could feel the warmth from the hug in real life.

It was kinda nice...

At least you have dreams. I have them on a yearly basis.

That sounds kinda interesting... Do you just go *poof* and wake up in x amount of hours or do you randomly wake up and fall asleep at random times?

The signature and the useless header text are staying.

I usually dream about games I'm playing... and a few times I've gotten confused thinking I've done something I didn't.

It never happens the other way around (thinking that something is/was a dream) though...

I don't dream often and when I do it's usually very fuzzy and undefined. Only when I get realistic dreams, I tend to die at the end so I don't quite look forward to those.

As for sleep walking or random sleep whatevers, when I was really little, probably 7 or something, I had to pee so I woke up and thought I was in the bathroom for whatever reason, and pissed all over the sega genesis. D:

As for me thinking that something in real life is a dream, I'm the other way around, and as such I sometimes get confused when I wake up. Unfortunately, the only dreams I seem to remember nowadays are realistic dreams where someone is dead/will die.

For example, in the most recent dream I remember, there were twelve people in a house, and after one of them died, I tried to call one of my relatives to get me away from that house.

So the leg still hurts and it was hurting me more while I was driving.

Thanks for the advise on the stretching.

Go to bed -> Lay there until you fall asleep -> Wake up

That's it.

Most dreams I have are about stuff I was doing earlier, like playing Disgaea or Touhou, and I put myself in their world.

Most of them feel realistic, and when I wake up sometimes, I feel like some was interrupting what I was doing before.

At least I don't press "9" and pinch myself in my dream to wake up.

I wake up if I realize I'm dreaming. I had a dream recently, in which I realized I was dreaming. So, I woke up.

Then I woke up again.

In the few dreams I have had, I've never been able to control my own actions either. Which is lame.

The one thing I hate about dreams is that they can be so freaking awesome, but the moment you wake up they start to drain away, and trying to get all of it back together is like trying to catch sand with a sieve...
