Younger people are simply more socialist/leftist than the older people these days. Lots of people score on the right... they're just older.

More or less. If you want to actually contribute to the topic, by all means go ahead. Just don't be a dick like that.

By your logic, every thread ever has been made on some other forum, and heaven forbid we dare to ask how something like that might've changed over years, because it's "just a grab for activity".

Did you register just to post that, or are you going to provide me with enough reasons to convince me you aren't a troll before I ban you?

I'm pretty sure this isn't entirely accurate, as I didn't really have an opinion on a lot of those questions. Like others have said, a "Neutral" option would be nice. I also rarely used the "Strongly Agree/Disagree" option, because I'm the type of person who would switch sides if I heard a good argument against what I was originally with. (As opposed to sticking with it and arguing back, that is.)

Looking at my dot, I'm like... Right next to the Dalai Lama.

EDIT: Looking at their page on the compass score map for the 2008 election, I read the following:

Burned.

Not really. It's a dumb badly-placed anti-religious statement.

Oh wait, forgot...Obama is the messiah...

I don't see at all how that is anti-religious.

Yea...I don't see Palin crucifying Obama at least. A murderer. So...Palin is a murderer all of a sudden? Pilate was a governor?

Then again, if we look at it in the Jesus to Obama perspective...sure I see Jesus supporting infanticide just like Obama does. Or teaching sex education to five- or six-year-old kids.

It's a dumb line...but hey, as long as it works for the people dead-set on voting Democratic, it really doesn't matter. :\

The point, Hiryuu, was to say that this:

One of Palin's evangelical supporters reminded us that Obama's background was as a mere community organiser.

"He was just a xxxxxxxx" type comments are completely irrelevant, because regardless of what you are, it is what they do.

There was no attempt to try to say that Palin was a murderer or that Obama was fucking Jesus. It was an analogy. Christ.

Oh oh okay...okay...well then if it's organizer that's fair. I can make those as well...

Hitler was a community organizer. FDR was a governor.

Yassir Arafat was a community organizer. Golda Meir was a governor.

Oh but that doesn't make Obama look good...that's the problem. :\

OH FOR JESUS FUCKING SAKES PALIN WAS THE ONE WHO SAID IT AND USING AN EXAMPLE LIKE HE DID WAS THE BEST WAY TO COMPLETELY DEFUSE THE ARGUMENT INSTEAD OF GIVING HER BULLSHIT ARGUMENTS WATER.

I'm not going to say which one I think is worse, but you're both doing a hell of a job demonstrating part of why I hate politics.

Even those who I expect to know that most of this political bullshit is just that - bullshit - still manage to get angry about it, and still manage to be utter assholes about it.

Naw it's all good.

But you're right though...the only problem is one of these guys has to make it in and because it's such a close heat this year, there's going to be a nice amount of people pissed off this go round regardless of who gets in.

You'll see with the six weeks remaining. It'll become far worse in real life.

Not so much as angry as "let's see if I can drill it into his skull". I mean, shit, I talked pretty plainly with him afterwards

All I'm gonna say is that I absolutely love it when people start comparing x candidate--directly or indirectly--to some of history's greatest monsters.
