Maybe a site can be made that you can register as Japanese or English, and if you register as English, the posts are automaticaly translated to english, and vise versa.

Because the Japanese people are sitting there, attempting to anticipate the needs of a random American teenager right now, and they definitely created that account-only system so that American teenagers who cannot grasp how SM64's ROM works can come in and bug them as to how it works and ask them for all their stuff and then steal their videos.

Yeah.

Sorry if I'm bumping, but I have an idea! Does the japaneese site have PM's? If so, maybe we can use an online translator to send them a message asking thinks like how to use EXE files, or if they can upload their videos to youtube! After all, there are multiple versions of youtube for different languages. I'll post with a link to the japanese youtube in a sec.

Edit: done! http://jp.youtube.com/

If you want to make them laugh, maybe.

Have you ever read what happens when people of other languages try to communicate to us using Babelfish english?

I've talked to Japanese people using the Google translator, it works alright if you use a very formal tone. We still ended up mostly just exchanging pictures to show what we meant though. (But then, we were discussing graphic bugs in a program, so... )

Sorry for bumping this but I've found a very cool video (hosted on NicoVideo) in the Japanese forum! It's a sort of SMB 1-1 hack using the Flatworld. There is also a hyper slide made with "Slide Battlefield" patch on the same video.

Another video features stunning Paper Mario-style textures.

The patches are available for download at the Wiki.

Here is a screenshot:

And the Castle Grounds from the second video:

The butterflies looks fantastic!

Edit: Here is the link for these patches.

Let's bump it up again!

Did you know messiaen that they recently added a whole page about Flatworld in their wiki?

http://www41.atwiki.jp/ttmario64/pages/63.html

Translated: http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww41.atwiki.jp%2Fttmario64%2Fpages%2F63.html&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=ja&sl=es&tl=en&tl=en

Your name is mentioned quite a few times as they really seem to love the additional object patches you made, they have a tutorial about it and even link to your Youtube channel. There's a few very interesting Japanese Flatworld hacks that have come out of this, like the "Mario Golf ball" level, where you use cannons to get Mario into golf holes (which are giant pipes with stars in them).

As they say in a bad translation: "Mario 64 is a new stage renovation!"

I have used the exe patches most of them are like gameshark cheats like stardoor exe makes you get into any star door without getting stars. Just put your extended rom in the same folder as the exe and then double click the exe and it will patch it. Most of the actual mods come in ppf form. The only mod I haven't tried is the golf one. This mod here There are actual two versions 1 classic that has the level in the picture and Red coin Luigi that doesn't have this exact level but looks like and update to this mod.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
