Excuse me in the following post- I don't really know what I'm talking about, only a general sense which I've received by reading the post's of others on this forum.




In the TT64 suggestions thread, the following feature has been requested multiple times: a feature to implement gameshark codes directly into a hack. VL-tone has replied that this is not possible, as gameshark modifies a game's ram, not the game itself.

But as time continues to pass, more and more is being accomplished with gameshark. Yoshiman has created many, many interesting codes- including one to ride yoshi! These would open great possibilities for a hack.

As the community continues to discover more about SM64, is it now time to reconsider the possibility of implementing of gameshark codes directly into a hack? No doubt it's possible; we just need to figure out what commands the ROM uses to change the RAM in-game.

Directly, no, but their effects can (eventually) be directly hacked into the ROM. Some day.
