| Well, I was bored, I had a lot of free time, I'm not an artist, and I can barely hack anything (well). So one night, I asked myself, "What would the textures look like inverted?" And I was not drunk. And I consider it as a pain in the ass. In order to do this, you need to invert 857 textures. And despite it being easy enough to do, some people like the look of it. So I made a patch for them. But if would make you feel better: THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY CONSIDERED HACKING. |

I do not want to disencourage you, but most of the conversions could probably have done in seconds using some scripts. However, that is not the point. You obviously used TT64 to do something more or less creative and the result is somewhat still interesting to see. You may want to use this work as a point to start from when you design new riddles or enemies to make your mod unique. Posting in here does not require any hacking skills, it is the idea that counts and the interest in the provided tools. | Thanks, Bonifarz. As for scripts, I know nothing about them. The closest I've gotten to actually coding something was when I made the words "Hello World" flash on my calculator (and I used a step-by-step tutorial for that). As for building on from this, I'd need some kind of storyline. Someone recommended a plot involving Mario and drugs. Somehow, I can't see this happening. ![]() I'll have to think about that, and I also need to learn how to use Tile Molester well enough to actually make something that looks nice. |

| I've been working on this mod for about two months now. I have no past experiences in modding any game, so this was a first for me. A lot of dedication has gone into this so far, I hope people like it. I call it Super Mario 128. *groan* It's designed to be a very hard, very puzzling platform game. Savestates are not encouraged, but it's understandable to use them. 4 full levels and every secret stage (excluding Rainbow Clouds and Bowser 3) are finished in this mod, but only 17 stars (spanning 6 levels + overworld) are obtainable without cheating in this release. (I want to preserve the sequence of events in the game as releases come out) Screens: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (All of these are taken from accessible levels) These screenshots really don't do the game justice- I don't want to spoil puzzles for people. I highly recommend to allow this mod its own thread. Already the first puzzles are the most sophisticated (and sadistic) ones I have ever seen in a SM64 mod.
