Just another way the media likes to twist things around on us.

Apparently the protesters used Google Earth to view paths up on top of the roof of Parliament.

Funny thing though, the bulk of the article talks about the one guy who let them in, who apparently works there. Of course they blame Google Earth because blaming the real problem would be too obvious...

I'm surprised nothing like "Google Earth assists Kidnapper/rapist/serial killer" has showed up yet. Heck, this is just as bad, if not, worse than an article titled "Gun helps man kill person." End Quote.

Point fingers at an easy target to deflect blame from the real issue, and everything is fine!

It's a shame.

Of course. It'd be a blow to morale to admit something's lacking in their security. Far better to blame people whom aren't them.

Of course, as the protesters don't really bother me, their appeal doesn't reach me.

It's like someone driving a car to rob a bank and people blaming the car dealer.
Well, maybe not that bad. But really, try looking a little deeper at the real problem. '_'

You can go back even further than that. "His parents birthed him! They are the real source of the problem!"

It's pretty sad what has happened to the media. Instead of straight, neutral news, they give us twisted headlines to appeal to one side and entice/anger the other. Vice versa too.

There's really no such thing as "neutral news". Pretty much all news stories are biased in some way. :\

Yea, my point...

But I guess it's impossible anyway. We notice it in our own conversations. (at least I do) I have a tendency to toss out a bias whenever I can when talking among friends, but I guess that's because I'm: A) comfortable knowing with how they'll react B) Most things would be boring sitting in neutral...

EDIT:

HA! Looks like this might have sparked something.

Bleh, why do I found the most weirdest / idiotic news coming from USA? Really, "Google helps terrorists to aim their missiles on USA".

Well, the military base thing kinda makes sense to me. Access is restricted in general (these are the "Trespassers will be shot" places, keep in mind) so it's a bit silly to allow people online have complete views of them.
