DAYLIGHT SAVINGS IN EFFECT; THOSE AFFECTED - CLOCKS UP ONE HOUR

Just thought I'd let people know since I had to blame Bush for the change up last time.

Finally!!! I love it when it gets darker later that I don't mind the minus one hour. I changed my clock around 9pm so I could "trick myself" since I have to wake up early today for work.

Ha ha ha, I carry no such burden, not this day! This day I am free! Free to rise when I please unbound by the shackles of your clock-changing witchcraft!

...But I do have to clean the house and look for a job. Oh well

My cellphone lags in changing its time It still reads 9:30am, even though it is 10:30am right now.

The only thing I notice is that I have to set my computer clock forward ahead manually; other than that, who cares?

I think DST is a load of crap regardless... I even read an article last night that basically speculated that it wastes energy

What isn't Bush involved with these days? Frankly, my negative opinion of him is incredibly strong.

If it's Cingular, power down, power up.

Sprint and related are automatic.

This is going to confuse me for a while.

I have to know the times for two different places and distinguish which is the one with an hour ahead.

I'll get used to it later...

Interestingly, I didn't even know the change happened until I read this thread just now. Both computers and my phone made the change automatically, and they're the only clocks I use.

Maybe I should pay more attention to what's going on...

I have a Sprint phone. It wasn't until later in the day did the time change get reflected. I wonder if I need to lose signal first before it resynchronizes the time.

I was too busy out getting Brawl to care about the change, though I made the transition without any problems today. I'm glad too because I had to get up this morning to go somewhere and didn't want to accidentally oversleep.

Mine changed late too (around 1 PM). It probably only syncs the time every few hours.

Thanks to a power shortage, I was sleeping during the hour change ... so I didn't have to set clocks ahead, just reset

Sunday still felt like it passed faster than normal, but I think I'm already fine now

Bah. That was dumb.

I watched the clock on my desktop advance an hour no problem. Since I have 2 monitors I disabled the taskbar clock and used Samurize to put a better one on the desktop of the second screen, which is always visible.

The next morning though, the alarm clock app went off an hour late. And a few other apps were reporting the wrong time too.

Sure enough, Windoze didn't automatically adjust. Samurize just decided to be "clever" and show an hour ahead of the system time.

XP didn't update my clock, either, even though I applied the patch. I just turned the feature off.

XP didn't update my clock either, leading me to become an hour off and ending up losing an hour I thought I had before I had to sleep...
