After a few asprin, the idea hit me (which required more asprin and some ice).


What should we be doing for the front page? You know, the actual site?

Obviously, most ideas are welcome. The front page has been a bit blank for a while.

Hey, I've already posted a thread in the Story Forum so that way it can gain more activity like it used to (of course, it won't be as active as when the Story Forum crew were around).

Can't think of anything to spawn activity though other than people just posting.

As for the front page, I don't know. =\

Any way, I think until we have something else to put there, I think we should just have links to the parts of rustedlogic.net. (If there's anything besides the board, that is. )
Just a nice rectangle with a little picture of whatever it's leading to and the name of what it is in the corner. (Haven't I seen this kind of thing before?)

I was personally thinking of having the main site be a sort of information dump (i.e. blog), with BMF's side and my side for other misc. crap...

Of course, that'd require BMF to actually update his side every now and then

Maybe you can put some sort of news page on it that tells of any important updates about the board, or any other thing that Xk or BMF made. It can also tell of any important things that may be happening about ROM-hacking, if it's deemed important, and any other things you can think of.

The blog idea seems good, as long as you update it every now and then.

I also had an idea about hosting files, but that wouldn'd be a bright idea .

If we go by internet stereotypes, it needs:
1. Shiny logo

3. Semi-automated signatures and update appearance
4. List of links to sub-thingies

And most importantly
5. Browsable content.


That said, the only content I'd have to contribute is the summed up SM64 info we got currently.

I think we'd want news updates to be generally focused on a core subject. As opposed to random topics, this isn't Digg.

Maybe a repository of useful files and guides. Like known good ROM hacks, resources for webmasters (seeing as many people here have at least attempted it), ROM hacking utilities, emulators, etc.
