Here are some pics of what my sister's house now looks like thanks to a drunk driver. It happened a few days ago, and they now have to move into a hotel until the damage is repaired. Notice the picture of the living room… they were sitting on the couch watching tv when it happened! They estimate he was going about 70 mph and the car traveled quite a ways before it smashed into the house. He also took out her lilac bush that was about 10 ft. tall and 8 ft. wide before he hit the house.

In the meantime, I now have to dogsit for them until they can move back home. This dog though, I swear, if it dies while it's here it's not my fault! He's 17 years old, is blind, deaf, has arthritis, and can't smell. It keeps walking around bumping into walls . I remember them getting this dog when I was 6 and somehow it just keeps on living. It's nice having a pet in the house again though.

Oh man, that sucks! Dumb ass drunk driver, thank goodness no one got hurt. There's been alotta accidents going on here in Corona lately cause'a drunk driving. 17 years old is a lot for a dog to live, my dog is 11 right now & she still playful like she was around 7 years old.

Yeah, it is a really good thing my sister and her family were ok. They consider themselves lucky. What really sucks though is that they've been trying to sell that house for a good while now so they can move closer to home, and the hotel they have to stay at is even further away!

There's been a ton of accidents around here lately too. Not too long ago another stupid drunk drove his SUV straight into the Jiffy Lube that's right by our house. Then later that week another drunk got killed by driving over the median and going the wrong way on the freeway on ramp that's also right by our house. I was actually driving right there on that road when that happened. This just seems to be the time of year for drunk driving and being stupid!

Thanks, but it wasn't my house, it was my sister's house. She lives about an hour and a half away from us. All I know about what happened to the driver is that somehow he was unharmed too, so the house really was the only casuality.

Btw, last night at 5am when my dad was going to work, he accidently let their dog out the front door. It's below freezing here, and we just recently had this huge ice storm. I tell you though, for being 17 years old, that dog can RUN! My dad chased him on foot, and I scraped the ice off my car and brought treats to lure him with, and a leash. We chased that dumb thing for an hour in the ice. I fell flat on my ass about 3 times, and we freaked out plenty of the neighbors running through their yards at 5am. Sad to know that I can be easily outrun by a dog that to my equivalent is 120 years old!

What? The dog didn't crash into anything and stop?

Nope. Apparently either he's grown used to being near blind for so long it doesn't really affect him, or he's not as blind as we thought he was. That dog is practically falling apart, yet he's probably in better shape than me lol.
