Probably a heavy chlorine taste. That's what most of the problem is with the water around here to combat against hard water.

Now that I'm in town, plain tap is fine.. I just keep it cold.

Try going to Las Vegas sometime... the water is so bad, that even a filter won't help (or will be too expensive to keep replacing filters).

Water is _okay_ here in Rochester. It's a bit funky but i guess since there's a lot of piping in a residence hall, it sits for a while. At home in Buffalo, it's pretty good, though.
