I'm wondering how someone couldn't notice that the Q-tip was going inside their ear too much . That has really got to suck for the guy, dying to a Q-tip .

I use this weird spray cleaner, which melts wax. Then you just have to jump so that it falls out

Forget those. My ear wax turns to stone.

It takes steel tweezers to yank the boulders out. Yes. Boulders. They also prevent my eardrums from being punctured. Or sound from reaching them (at times.) Or even fluid from escaping my eardrum.

So, yeah.

I can't hear through my right ear right now because I accidentally pushed wax farther into my ear. The doctor said I should be able to hear through it again soon though

I always wear a headset when I'm using the computer, even if I'm not listening to anything. Now, according to some statistics I read, wearing earphones for one hour causes the amount of bacteria in the ear to increase by 700%... ... ...so I've usually got to scratch my ear with something.

Q-tip! Scratch several times a day!*

I don't use Q-tips, ever, because I was always afraid of something like that happening. Call me paranoid, but it looks like my fears weren't totally unfounded! Surprisingly enough, I remember overhearing a conversation on this very subject in school today, wonder if they saw this article.

I remember earing somewhere that you shouldn't put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear... but you can't fit something as big as you elbow in your ear.
