(to FirePhoenix) Wow! I've never played Super Metroid (at least I don't think I have...), but that still looks pretty cool. I love the music, even if you didn't make it. Are those spikes on the ceiling or it is just decoration? And how do you unlock those grey gates?

Here's another new level. It's huge, aggravating and has a custom boss at the end ripped from ZII AoL.

And yes, I'm aware that the custom boss has some glitches with its fireball-shooting routine. This is something I'm not quite sure how to fix.

Edit: Actually, scratch that... I think I just fixed it. The fact that the boss started out halfway in between two Screens might've had something to do with it.

Edit: Damn, my video was too long so it got rejected by YouTube. I'll see about getting just the boss fight up for you guys...

Edit 2: Alrighty, here's just the custom boss. It took me a day and a half to make.

Mario will be damaged on the spot if he tries to jump on the boss in Angry Mode, even while spinning, and in addition to that the boss shoots bouncing fireballs instead of straight-flying energy balls while angry. She takes 5 hits to beat, and with each hit she stays angry longer, plus you get more points (and a 1UP on the deathblow).

Whew. What a day.

Well I have to say. Your stuff looks awesome. And it really makes me wanna play it.
On the other hand. Can you please tune down on the videos?
It is more fun to explore the game if have not allready seen most your level and some of the new stuff!

I agree with Green-Kirby. As good as your videos are, you're basically giving away your whole hack, and leaving no surprise for the player. There is nothing better than playing a hack and saying "wow, that's a nice boss!"

The boss in your recent video looks great. I like the angry mode, and how it shoots fireballs instead. Impressive stuff.

Pretty interesting idea with the graves there. The love the new dreary looks you gave to the Koopas, it's very fitting. I'm interested to see how that whole scenario plays out.

The only thing that seems weird is there being headstones on a boat. But I'm probably being too picky. Since when does reality matter in Mario games?

You keep it coming with innovative ideas. I look forward to even more .

Thanks for the comments. The spikes on the ceiling aren't really spikes. Those are the ceiling tiles for the Green Brinstar tileset. As for the gray gates, the one with the blue button can be opened by shooting the blue part with any weapon. The green button gate can only be opened with Super Missiles.

I like Schwa's constant videos, myself... of course, part of that is probably that I'm so bad at SMW that I probably wouldn't last five minutes in the hack if I were playing it myself

At first, you need a lot of patience. Then after a while, you just get used to it. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a better method to learning EggVine than that .
