It's been delayed in Japan till January 31st. This means the possibility of something new being fit in in the last minute, so that would be an obvious reason they delayed it.

At least you're not all "fuck you sakurai", laying the blame on one person out of an entire team, as if he was the one who made the models, did the programming, etc.

Guys, delay = something new.

What could it be? Last-minute character addition? Balancing issues due to feedback from Whobby? Stage?

Its not too long of a delay in Japan, so it can't be a whole new franchise being added, so...

Sigh. How often do you create huge, possibly console-defining video games? Or, failing that, things with even 1/5 the complexity of it?

Perhaps you should keep in mind how much can go wrong before you vilify the developers for not foreseeing every little thing when they made their prediction of a release date. Schedules change. Be happy they warned you a month in advance.

(Myself... while I'm slightly bothered by the extra delay, I'm more frustrated that they managed to choose the day my spring break ends to release it on. It means I won't be able to actually play it until god-knows-when.)

Anyway, Pikmin stage. Awesome.

Franchise, as in THE FULL SHEBANG. Stages, characters, items, music. Only one that got that was G&W, and FE only got one song and two characters who were remotely similar.

Plus can't really add it all in like other characters due to SSE. That'd require a huge reworking, and its only delayed in Japan for a week.

Also consider that is Melee, where he was having a set time limit to release it. Meanwhile here he is given no set time limit. He had those FE things planned and probably had to can them due to time meanwhile here he is taking his time.

I was only saying that FE did have the full package ._. and so did GW (even if FE had to not be finished....) so you know...... it is very possable that they are going to put a new series too you know!

...this is Sakurai we are talking about. If he had plans for something he'd have done it sooner and have it finished by the original delay date. However considering it is Sakurai, known for pulling random suprises, he could have delayed it for a character that would be truly WTF and part of an already-established franchise.

...or hell it could just be bug fixes or Whobby balance issues. Who the hell knows? We may find out sooner or later at least.

Guys it's not extra content, GoNintendo has been reporting for weeks that they have been hardcore testing the servers, and just the past two days ago there was 2,000 connections on SSBB. It seems like a giant chance they are having online troubles.
