I"ve recently been messing around with Irfanview and ROMs...


I'm told it looks something like "digital snow", which it kind of does...


Specially designed to be tileable (it's actually 256x256, but was made in a 3x-repeating square so the edges would tile better)

Both are just pictures of various PRG banks with some filters applied. Aside from that fact, they're not much different from normal static, except I think it looks better

Still, it is an interesting idea, and it does look better than normal static.

I wonder what the effects of a snes rom or other rom types would be..

I'm using the blue one as mine as well. Though I did take it into Photoshop and make it a bit brighter. It was too dark for my liking.
