I heard a translation of Zelda's "final smash" card in a Japanese magazine says a note about her "Twilight change" as something like (Sheik original twilight version)... though I never thought about the possibility of it bearing some resemblance to Zelda in the cloak, to be honest.

I would figure it is the most likely chance. Since the final smash is called "Twilight Change" and not "Shiek Change" and that is how Zelda looks in the Twilight Realm. Of course we do not know what she looks like under that cloak. For all we know, she looks like a twilight styled Shiek. That is if they use that form of her in that game and if that form appears without the brown cloak.

Perhaps not, but if she does have a transformation into lets say Shiek, then she most likely will have 2 final smashes. One for each form of her own.

I wish Kirby's final smashes changed if it had copied another player's abilities...

Somewhere in Japan there is a new demo of Brawl.
This time around Pokemon Trainer and DeDeDe are playable.

Hopefully some videos pop up soon of them. It'd be interesting to say the least.

EDIT: Instead of regularly posting I'll link to Brawl Central, seeing as they have translators working on deciphering the Japanese players.

That's... almost a believable starting lineup for the actual game. Almost. Most obvious issue? Lack of Zelda. Next most glaring is Pit's absence, given his involvement in Subspace Emissary.

Still very cool. If only it was downloadable, though...

I'm wondering how many playable characters will there be?

Currently the DOJO has announced 24, 12 new, 12 veterans. But there can't be just 24, melee had 25!

Plus Luigi and Dr. Mario aren't on the list. I wont like this game if Dr. Mario isn't in! I kicked butts in melee with him!

Dr. Mario is one of the ones who can be reasonably thought to not be returning. Unfortunate, yes. I loved playing as him.

Luigi, however... He and Jigglypuff are almost certainly still in, even though the site hasn't mentioned them. That would be 26 playable characters, not including any number of characters that neither the site nor magazines (nor previous games) have shown.

(Oh, and Ganondorf I believe has been confirmed by one of the developers in an interview.)

Supposedly, during an E for All interview, Luigi was said to be playable in Brawl.
If this was actually said or not is not actually known, though. :/
Also: I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Mario wasn't in. He was a Mario clone that played just like him, but Luigi wasn't. Unless they give him different moves, I can't really see him getting into Brawl.

Seems to be nearly identical to Kirby Air Ride's Checklist feature, except with the ability to scroll to throw in more options. It shows what you've done, the conditions for the adjacent cells, and limited ability to uncover cells of the user's choosing.

In Kirby Air Ride, the only ones you couldn't unlock with the "pick your own" purple squares were the credits and the Legendary Air Ride Pieces in City Trial mode. What do you think will be restricted in this game? My vote's on characters and stages specifically, but there may be some other sensitive things that you have to unlock the real way.
