Ever since moving up to Seattle (a little under two months ago now) I've been surprised by how mild the weather is. We still have to turn on the furnace every now and then (and the A/C sometimes, too) whereas before it was air conditioning mandatory half the months of the year

It rained a lot at first but then it's been more of a mix of cloudy/sunny. This is a lot more tolerable and I like the variety

Chicago gets a reputation for being a super cold city, but like, we also get amazing Spring/Summer/Fall. Basically 6 months of very mild 60-70 degree weather. Summers rarely get hot and when they do, it doesn't feel too humid (at least compared to DC/Philadelphia).

One thing that turns me off about the Pacific Northwest is how cloudy it seems to be. I need lots of sunny days to stay sane.

Whelp, today the high is ~90F with a heat index of 100F; the humidity is like 55% though, so not only is it hot, but it feels disgusting too
