Just got done with the sinus infection from hell a week and a half ago. Still a little bit nasal-y but I'm way better than I was. I had to go back in the day afterwards and probably went through half a box of Kleenex on the clock.

the issue is i don't have access to antibiotics since i'm uninsured in illinois (all my legal/healthcare is still in washington) so i'm just waiting it out unless i get white spots in my mouth or something bad

Ah, yes, Chicagoland. I don't envy being up there right now. I'm sure you've got plenty of hell to deal with for the sick-scape and will until the cold season is done up there.

Which probably won't be until May with how fucking chilly it's been.

Yea I got out of IL in general back in '06 and haven't really looked back. Ironic that I'm still sitting in AR as long as I have considering how I didn't want this to begin with but it's worked out surprisingly well.

And I don't have to complain about the weather nearly that much.

It is pretty chilly today though but that's like one or two bad weeks out of the years. Not months.

snow in washington is simple because it would snow for a week once every year and nobody ever knows how to handle it so everything just shuts down for a week

You know I had similar symptoms that ended up being 'the sinus infection from hell' back in 2017. I had to go into the doc for it as well and it ended up being exactly that.

I am so glad I started using a neti pot. That makes suffering through that all the less...but you also have to want to put water through your nasal passages / throat too.

i dunno, i've had to live through many sinus episodes, i've basically been running through a constant allergy attack since middle school. i used to get pretty crazy about it, i once thought it was my brain juices leaking out of my nose and i was getting dumber, that was also around the time i suffered from a lot of memory loss. (it's probably not that)

tools that blast through my nose though tend to make my nose bleed at worst and make my sinuses run more at best

Yea, then I wouldn't use that. Thankfully, any blood I would have go out my nose is very minimal and hasn't been any kind of lasting nosebleed scenario. Those that do get those are told to lay off of those for obvious reasons...
