i forgot to express my opinion on nuking the sun. it's good. stupid thing makes my eyes hurt a lot (also sensitive to sunlight) and makes everything too hot. sun is bullshit

i have glasses which darken after like a couple of minutes in the sunlight

they were a bit pricier but considering i buy glasses like every once in years, i thought it would be a worthwhile investment. and it was! now i can actually walk without having to squint my eyes OR without having to stare down at the floor

I used to have glasses like that but I came to not like them. They transition far too slowly, especially when going from bright outdoors to a dark building. Now I just carry a pair of sunglasses with me and switch them out when I go outside. It's a hassle, but my eyes thank me.

Yeah, that's a common complaint. They actually offered me two types of darkening shades, one would adjust quicker but it was a lot more expensive, so I just went with the one that takes a bit. I mean I barely went outside, even before the pandemic so, works for me, even if there's a few minutes of annoyance.

I also have a friend who had surgery to remove brain cancer, and ever since his eyes don't dilate (undilate?) properly, and he has some pretty severe light sensitivity, to the point of headaches on a bright day.

my eyes are pretty firmly in the brown camp, actually.

my eyes also seem to (un)dilate properly, too, so that's not the issue. i honestly just think i am a wimp who cannot handle sunlight

i mean, i could probably learn to, if i got used to it... but on some level i just don't like it very much, either. that's the real impediment, i think...

I sleep during the day and live at night. I also cover my windows so no light gets in my room. It's basically the only way I can deal with the intense brightness of the day (though tbh it's a lot better during winter than it is when it's summer). My screen is also set to 30% brightness and even that feels too bright sometimes lol.
