Snow Bros. 2 is believed to not have any staff credits but to my surprise I found a video from 2018 showing exactly that, during the ending which is normally devoid of text:

I've seen no other online sources display credits during the ending (for example: http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/arcade/c/snow2.htm), nor on my own playthroughs.
If there's code in the ROM that can re-enable this somehow or if it's just very obscure I haven't noticed it documented anywhere.

The "PRESENTED BY" section seems broken. It looks like it's supposed to show a name/logo but never does.


As it happens, I noticed there's a Toaplan logo in the graphics that seemingly goes unused.



The right image is my attempted reconstruction. There's a chance the palette isn't correct but they used a very similar red logo in other games.

I also noticed a platform with Toaplan's logo on it that might be unused too. It's stored with the World 2 graphics, so the palette here is just my closest guess.



Toaplan went bankrupt the year Snow Bros. 2 came out. The final game only acknowledges a nebulous company called Hanafram with no references to Toaplan.

After the fact I had a feeling it might involve one of the bootleg sets and it turns out the "bootleg 2" (snowbro2b2) set does have credits:



The thing though is that these credits don't line up with any other game to my knowledge (including the very few Toaplan games with actual known staff rolls). Either it's a very convincing fake or maybe the bootleg is re-enabling something that the main game disabled?
