i bought a car

i mean this seems like material possession/capitalist bullshit and i guess that's not entirely wrong, but i went from a piece of crap car whose suspension was about to give out (i lost traction on a simple left turn and have taught myself to intuitively countersteer which helped a lot then):

a 2015 chevy volt!!!!

the big things:

1) i can drive without worrying about my safety from just normal driving
- yes i have a rear-facing dashcam and front-facing dashcam
2) working... parts? power locks, power windows, it's insane
3) there's a free charging spot about 2.5 miles away from me, so i have basically free fuel for local drives

it's not the biggest change but it's definitely something that's removed a worry from my life. i like the car a ton and i feel it's going to serve me well for a long time

The past five years were atrociously horrible, 2018 was only marginally better than 2017 (that and 2015 being the worst) but felt like more of the same for me, 2019 has already proven itself to be a pretty poor year with parental absurdities here (again) and more of the same idiocy showcasing from me (because I don't bother to think about my actions 65% of the time irl) leading to said absurdities...

Oh, and explanation for the new account, I'm trying to clear my name a bit, and have been using Iris as a first name since a month or so ago. I'm genderflux (agender/demigirl/female) by the way...

Quite honestly I need to stop pulling the same old garbage again and again without thinking, but that's probably not going to happen for some time...

2018 wasn't that great for me because I kept on getting high blood pressure scares, combined with sinus inflammation. I mean, it was nice to see my brother being a father again but December was ruined with the aforementioned issues that it put a damper on the whole year.
